BRANDOON WILSON’S PICK SIX MADE IT 28-0 LOUISIANA IN THE SECOND QUARTER

Louisiana secured their second consecutive conference championship in a lopsided win over Army, taking down the Knights by a score of 41-0.

After a bit of a slow start Louisiana led 7-0 after the first quarter with the lone score of the game coming via a two yard run by Donatello Franz III. The Cajuns broke the game wide open in the second quarter with four touchdowns.

Fullback Ryheem Beach capped a drive with a one yard TD run, Seth Palmero caught a nine yard TD pass from Jordan McAlary, Brandon Wilson scored on a 46 yard pick six and D’Eriq Robinette added a two yard touchdown run.

At halftime Louisiana had essentially put the game away and they coasted through the second half, adding only a second Beach TD run in the fourth quarter.

“Great win. Solid performance all around. No need to run things up there in the second half. Not against those guys anyway.” Porter Davis said after the win.

Louisiana out gained Army 299-136 and picked up 18 first downs to just 5 for Army.

Louisiana will no doubt have their eyes on the ACC and Big 12 Championship games, hoping to get a shot to move into the national championship game.
