YUP! One of the most frustrating 2K26 issues/bugs/quirks. And when I see the pass coming, and try to react with my defender, it's like they're stuck in quicksand or mud and completely lost the ability to semi-quickly react to something.redsox907 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 16:30this is my biggest gripe. I like the slider set I use, but something about it makes me more susceptible to giving up "dumb mistakes" buckets to the man of the player I'm controlling. I primarily control Thorne when we're on defense and there are too many times I think I'm in good position or ready, and his man slips backdoor, or I think I'm doing fine getting back on defense after a miss, think I'm in a great position, only to watch the CPU whip a pass full-court or 3/4ths court to my man streaking to the basket -- pass is on a dime, too, way too often.
Just little things like that. They don't have constantly, but enough for my man/Zeke's man to get an extra 3-5 buckets
Defense in the last few editions of 2K has been pretty bad. I haven't played 26, but 24 and 25 were atrocious. Sliders didn't feel like they did anything, but you just can't be the primary on-ball defender without getting cooked. If you use the right stick to shift into place it's doable, but I play on broadcast view so it's not consistent which direction.redsox907 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 16:30this is my biggest gripe. It's a shame, defense used to be one of the things I loved to do. Back in the early days of The Golden Era when it was on 19, I loved bringing in Kris Dunn off the bench and just smothering guys. It really felt like a point of attack defender meant something and could change the game. Just don't think it's there anymore in favor of offensive highlights
