Dee Johnson, Portland's leading scorer this season, poured in 35 points for the Blazers. Herb Webb added a double-double with 16 points & 10 boards.

The Suns will look to now defend the top spot in the West with an upcoming battle against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, December 19th.

Phoenix Suns' Post-Game Press Conference.

"DJ, 22 points, 13 boards, and 3 blocks on 11-for-14 shooting is elite efficiency. What were you seeing from Portland’s frontcourt that let you dominate the paint like that tonight?"

Image

“That was barbecue chicken down there. I saw single coverage, I saw barbecue sauce, I saw mashed potatoes.. I told my man Aaron here, it’s dinner time. When the other team doesn't send help, it’s disrespectful. And when you disrespect me in the paint.. I'm going to feed my family. That ain’t domination, that’s just grown-man basketball. Tell ‘em send two next time..”

Image

"Tiny, you finished just two assists shy of a triple-double and the team had seven players in double figures — is this the most balanced you’ve ever felt a Suns roster around you has been, and how much of that is intentional leadership versus just chemistry clicking?"

Image

"Oh, without a doubt. In most recent years at least. In the past, there was always a high demand for Westley [Hunt] or myself to carry the scoring load. This team has a mixture of everything. Anyone can get hot for us. Our chemistry couldn't be better.."

Image

“Aaron, love the three-goggles celebration first & foremost but my question to you is.. the shots weren’t falling early for you but you still impacted the game with playmaking and energy. How do you stay locked in mentally when scoring isn’t coming easy but the team still needs you?”

Image

"I mean.. I thought I had a pretty good scoring night. I do what this team needs to be successful. At the end of the day, we're here to make a run at a championship. Every night is a new learning opportunity.

Image

"Tiny.. Right here. Imani Carr.. New York Times.."

Image

"I know who you are. I remember you.. You work for Stan Dover. What do you have to ask, Imani?"

"I figured you would say that.. First off, I just wanted to compliment the suit you're wearing tonight. Care to tell us where it came from?"

Image

DJ Porter Sr. yawned as he doesn't enjoy talking to the media.

Image

"Thank you. This entire suit was designed by Noor Salah. Check her out online. Everything she makes is dope."

"Will do. Now Tiny, I was hoping we could speak in private about doing an interview outside of the press conference?" Imani asked, but never heard a response.

At that time, the Phoenix Suns media team dismissed her question & let the players return to the locker room.

"Hey, New York Times.. Find a way to contact me outside of here." Tiny said to her as he disappeared into the back.

Image DJ Porter wanted to keep it simple & go home instead of stick around to talk to the media. I can dig it. :yep:
