Defense should be better. Offense may take a bit of a step back without Williams so I don’t know if we match or better our record this season. Not sure what my OOC schedule will be like

A little inside baseball here regarding the recruiting changes:
I have had a longstanding house rule that I can not overrecruit and cut so initially I only had one open spot for a portal player.
However, this house rule does not take into account that I am a new incoming coach and staff and the roster is a bit of a mess.
Also, the NIL and Portal era kind of make this house rule a bit antiquated, it does date back to the early NCAA games.
Therefore, I allowed myself a deeper portal class and I will likely cut a few of the 20+ offensive linesmen I inherited to try to balance things out better.
Thank you for your attention on this matter.

Here I am thinking this man was going to go get 15-20 guys out the portal and he got 5. Djp is the transfer portal's biggest hater
Looks like some good additions to a good team, though.

Yeah I feel like you have to throw that rule out the window at least for the first couple of seasons. The portal has changed so much.djp73 wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025, 08:24A little inside baseball here regarding the recruiting changes:

What do you have your portal settings at.. I have read multiple who say it's best to cap the # of players at like 7-8 per team and chances of players leaving like 25-30% to cut down on the Top-25 programs just scooping up all your best players every year..
