Titans Overcome Early Turnovers as Trevor Lawrence Potentially Benched in 31-7 Loss
The Tennessee Titans survived three first half turnovers, including a fumble by Damien Martinez on the very first play of the game, and outlasted the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-7 to secure their first divisional win of the season on Sunday.

Trevor Lawrence went 9 of 23 for 77 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game with an injury. Even when Lawrence was cleared to play and stood on the sideline with his helmet on, rookie quarterback Sam Leavitt remained in the game.

Leavitt was drafted in the third round by the Jaguars and in his NFL debut, completed seven of his thirteen pass attempts for 36 yards in what was a slow day for the Jaguars offense whose only score came on their first drive of the game.

Cam Ward had an early interception with a turnover in the redzone but bounced back with a 37-yard touchdown pass to Chimere Dike.
