‣ CFB 2030 Regular Season, Week 1 - Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida
(0-1, 0-1 SEC) Auburn Tigers at #2 Miami Hurricanes (1-0, 1-0 SEC)
AUB | 7 | 0 | 11 | 3 | 21
MIA | 7 | 14 | 0 | 7 | 28
Marvin Daly, Auburn's turnovers prove too costly in 28-21 loss to Miami in opener
Miami's defense surrendered a 73-yard touchdown on the second play of the game and would go on to shutout the Auburn Tigers' offense for the rest of the half, intercepting quarterback Marvin Daly twice as the Hurricanes scored 21 unanswered points to jump out to a double digit lead.
The Tigers would rally back in the third quarter, making it a three-point game with two minutes left in the third quarter but a muffed punt in the fourth quarter would be all that Miami needed to get back in control, extending their lead with a touchdown pass to David Tompkins with 5:39 remaining and would hang on for the 28-21 win in their SEC debut.
Auburn would get the ball into Miami territory following the touchdown, getting as far as the Miami 16-yard line following a twelve yard completion to Dennis Robert. Miami's defense would buck up, forcing two incompletions in three plays to present the Tigers with a fourth and two from the eight-yard line with 2:24 remaining, where Auburn head coach Tim Skipper opted to kick the field goal instead of going for it.
The Hurricanes would lean on their running game, which totaled 181 yards on the day, to run out the clock with true freshman Broderick Booker picking up eleven yards on third and seven to exhaust Auburn's timeouts. He finished the game with 56 yards on eleven carries, second on the team behind Aidan Teague's 92 yards. Kaseem Dalton also had a touchdown.

He went off on that second play for a touchdown and was good when he got the ball, just didn't get it much

USF | 7 | 14 | 7 | 7 | 35
MIA | 7 | 14 | 14 | 7 | 42
South Florida covers spread with late touchdown as Miami's offense puts up 42 in win over Bulls
A miraculous Hail Mary conversion to end the first half and a goal line turnover wasn't enough for the University of South Florida to pull off the upset, falling to Miami 42-35 on Saturday as the Hurricanes survived the potential upset.
The Bulls took the lead in the third quarter after tying the game on the final play of the second quarter as tight end Anton Toone caught the batted down pass in the endzone on the Hail Mary attempt. The lead would be held for just five minutes of game time as the Hurricanes drove down the field with ease, converting a fourth and five from the 43-yard line with a 31-yard completion to Etinosa Ha from Bernie Flowers.
Three plays later, Kaseem Dalton tied it up with a touchdown from a yard out. Antoine Curtin, who threw for a career high 421 yards, would complete his next four passes to get the ball into Miami territory but the drive would stall out following negative plays and two straight incompletions to punt the ball from the Miami 37-yard line.
The Hurricanes would retake the lead with a fifteen yard touchdown pass to Duke Cundiff, the Ole Miss transfer's second touchdown of the game. Flowers would throw another touchdown in the fourth quarter to make it a two possession game prior to USF's late touchdown.
