Cheeseman showing Cashman that cheese is a better slang term for money than cash with a BTA.

I think that's the Heisman locked up, though. Been getting a little sloppy with those interceptions creeping up but still a stellar season. Now you gotta win the natty or it's a wasted year. Can they handle the pressure?
Say that.

I also think the Heisman is just about locked up unless there's some giant collapse from us somehow. He only got four interceptions :curtain:

Mustangs pick up two more five-star recruits in Natson, Stick; zero in on CB Malik
By Cheryl Smith

DALLAS -- The number one team in the country added even more fuel to its rise this week, securing two more five-star commitments in wide receiver Kenyon Natson out of Tomball, Texas, and free safety Taylor Stick from Grand Prairie, Texas. For a program sitting undefeated ten weeks into the season at 9-0, the message is unmistakable - SMU isn't borrowing success. They're building something sustainable.

And they're doing it in the backyard of traditional power brokers like Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.

For years, elite Texas prospects defaulted to the usual destinations. Now, they're looking north to Dallas.

SMU's dominance on the field - coupled with its growing national profile - has turned the Mustangs into a legitimate first choice rather than an alternative. As one recruiting analyst put it, "SMU isn't flipping commitments anymore. They're beating blue bloods head-to-head."

Natson and Stick are proof.

At 6-foot-4, Natson already looks like the modern prototype at wide receiver. What separates him, though, is speed - real, vertical, game-breaking speed that forces defenses to account for him on every snap.

Natson has been a terror on the high school circuit, stretching coverage, winning jump balls, and showing an advanced feel for attacking leverage. Still, evaluators believe his ceiling hasn't even been approached.

"Once he puts more size on his frame," one scout noted, "the NFL conversations start to get very real."

In SMU's offense - already powered by a Heisman-caliber quarterback in Alonzo Cheeseman and a proven ability to develop receivers (J.J. Harrell, Marquis Avant, Jeremiah McClellan, etc.) - Natson projects as a future matchup nightmare. If his physical development matches his athletic gifts, his upside borders on star at the next level.

On the other side of the ball, Taylor Stick brings elite athleticism on the back end of SMU's defense.

The 6-foot-3 free safety is ranked as the No. 30 player in the ESPN300 and the fourth-best safety in the country, and its easy to see why. Stick's closing speed allows him to erase his teammate's mistakes, while his ranges makes the deep third of the field feel impossibly small for opposing quarterbacks.

He's not just a coverage specialist, either. If you were to ask him, he's a lot more comfortable playing up and close, making his opponents feel his presence. He's a sound, physical tackler who plays downhill with confidence - a critical trait in a defense that prides itself on eliminating explosive plays and dominating against the run.

In short, he fits SMU's defensive identity perfectly.

Even with Natson and Stick in the fold, joining the likes of four-star wide receiver Hayden Presley and fellow five-star safety Alex Longoria, SMU isn't done.

The Mustangs remain firmly in the hunt for five-star cornerback Henry Malik, the No. 12 overall player in the country and the top-ranked cornerback in his class. Malik recently announced a new top five featuring Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, SMU, Ohio State, and Georgia - a list that underscores just how far SMU has climbed.

Landing Malik would complete a secondary class that could define the program's next era.
