terrible time to get a big injury.

But at least you can know you lost to the best of the best without your QB.

I’m still proud of the 9-1 record :yep:

As Big 12 commissioner, we want to bring the smack down on the Cardinal. There’s no easy path to the playoff so schedule our three best schools (or best quarterbacks if there’s a toss up)
let you down in that last game smh almost had a perfect record

The only part that sucks is losing Toomer and Lasike so not like we can run it back with those guys next year

Stanford agrees to landmark broadcasting deal with Amazon Prime

Stanford has agreed to a long-term broadcasting partnership with Amazon Prime, making the streaming platform the primary television home for Cardinal football beginning in 2031, sources confirmed to the Associated Press on Tuesday.

The deal positions Stanford in a role similar to Notre Dame’s long-standing relationship with NBC, giving the Cardinal a dedicated national broadcast partner as the program prepares to compete as a football independent. Most Stanford home games — and select road contests — will stream exclusively on Prime Video, becoming the first college football game slated to be broadcasted on Prime Video.

Amazon has steadily expanded its presence in live sports, including the NFL’s “Thursday Night Football,” and adding the NBA back in 2025. The agreement is expected to be finalized before the start of the 2031 season, with additional production and scheduling details to be announced at a later date.

What to make of Stanford's apparent pursuit of top portal quarterback Henry Delos
Chris Wallace -- 247Sports Stanford Football Insider

247Sports has confirmed that Penn State quarterback Henry Delos, the top available quarterback in the portal and the second ranked player, will be in Palo Alto this upcoming Tuesday for an official visit.

There's no doubt that Delos, who completed seventy percent of his passes and threw for 3,759 yards and thirty touchdowns to just seven interceptions would be an upgrade but the news of his visit
certainly sent waves around Stanford's program as the team is returning quarterback Alex Rowe who led the Cardinal to their first ever ACC Championship and their second consecutive playoff appearance in his first year as a starter.

Stanford is also targeting former Penn State guard Jimmy Wells, offensive tackle D.J. Baas and cornerback Jalen Fuller.

Could this be Stanford just kicking the tires on an elite prospect with the understanding that Rowe is their likely starter next year or is this a sign that they are actively looking to upgrade the position, even beyond Delos who many expected to sign with either Alabama or Oklahoma? Either way, it does bring an interesting dynamic to the situation should they not sign Delos, which is most likely outcome, and have to deal with the fallout and the impact it could have on returning starter Rowe.

In other recruiting news, the Cardinal did add three-star tight end Colt Mixon who they internally view as one of the top high school tight ends in the country and a potential instant-impact player. Many expected the Cardinal to be a player in the portal market at tight end but so far, no official offer has gone out nor any visit has been scheduled, further indication that Stanford does view Mixon highly.

David Drake, one of Stanford's top targets in the high school ranks, released an updated top three that did not include Stanford as he narrowed it down to Maryland, Oklahoma and Oregon.

Drake is a teammate of top running back target Malik Marshall, the five-star that is deciding between Notre Dame and Stanford. The two haven't been viewed as a package deal as neither Penn State or Notre Dame have been involved in Drake's recruitment so Drake not coming to Stanford doesn't rule out the Cardinal for Marshall but it certainly doesn't help either.
