Week 2 Preview: at #19 Texas (0-1, 0-0)
Synopsis
The Texas Longhorns will look to reset their season after the biggest shock in Week 1 where they dropped their opening context in convincing fashion to Duke on the road. Now, with hopes of not starting 0-2, they'll return home to take on the number one team in the nation. SMU is coming off an impressive, yet discombobulated victory over Alabama. Both teams are hoping their offense will show up in full force to get their season under control.
The Longhorns are starting quarterback Soma Hunt under center, where he will start behind their latest rendition of the "Great Wall of Texas", led namely by offensive guard and Pre-Season All-American Barry Judge. Along with him are his top two receivers in Stephen Dekker and Carl McCleod - two players that will undoubtedly hear their names called at next year's NFL draft.
SMU probably won't see a better offensive unit for the remainder of the season, and consider how badly they were gashed by an Alabama team that sorely missed the likes of Jay Pool and Enrique Thrash, they'll have to settle the pass game down early and get some pressure on Hunt; something they sorely missed in Week 1.
