Hopefully you left Nickey in Nashville.

I think Nickey's biggest problem is once he throws a pick, his composure is shot and that effects his throws (low awareness). We'll see what the aftermath is

Markelle Nickey To Miss Four Weeks With Broken Ribs - But Will He Gets His Job Back?
Boone Tillman // Sooner Born • Published: October 19th, 2031
While Armando Leon was mum Saturday night about the injury status of Markelle Nickey, it didn't take long for the program to announce his injury once they returned to Norman.
Markelle Nickey suffered a pair of broken ribs against the Commodores and is going to be out at least the next four weeks.
From there, Armando Leon was once again mum.
"We've got all the confidence in AJ that he can step in seamlessly and lead this offense. We thought that before Nick got injured, and after how he performed off the bench, you can see why," declared Armando Leon after Monday's film session.
When asked if Nickey would be guaranteed his starting job back once he was cleared to play, Leon was evasive, at best.
"We prepare one week at a time. Right now, Nick isn't available, so we aren't preparing with him in mind. When that changes, we'll evaluate and go from there. There is no sense in worrying about something that's three games from now. We start looking ahead, we start losing. Period."
As it stands, Markelle Nickey will miss games against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Texas A&M Aggies, and Kentucky Wildcats, but should be eligible to return after the team's bye week for a Week Twelve trip to Knoxville to face the Volunteers.
Whether he will be the starter come November 22nd is a tomorrow problem.
If you want my two cents, and you don't have a choice since you're reading my publication, it all depends on AJ Hatchett. If he can continue to play mistake-free football, it'd be hard to make the switch after Nickey's roller coaster performances this season. If AJ struggles, then Nick will likely be welcomed back with open arms.
Either way, it's safe to say the next four weeks just got even more interesting.

Interesting timing with the injury there. Lucky that the bad game came against Vandy

he actually did get hurt during the game. Pop up came up with Broken Ribs and wouldn't let me sub him back in. Then get to the main menu and he's magically fine. So I decided to keep him injured for a realistic timeline (at least, the games timeline) to keep it realistic.

2031 Week Nine Preview - #11 Oklahoma State (5-1) @ #2 Oklahoma (6-1)
Boone Tillman // Sooner Born • Published: October 24th, 2031
The Bedlam Series arrives with its own sort of chaos this year, as the defending National Champion Sooners suddenly find themselves without the services of star quarterback Markelle Nickey.
Unlike previous editions of the renewed Bedlam Series, these Cowboys mean business. Oklahoma State comes in ranked 11th-overall and is eager to prove they're no fluke with an upset over "big brother" Oklahoma.
We'll get to all that and more in the latest "Schooner Scoop," right after the graphic.

Schooner Scoop
BT: "AJ Hatchett played admirably having to fill in for Nickey last week, and that speaks volumes about his preparation. But, it's a different story having to prepare to be the starter every week, no? How is he dealing with that pressure."
AL: "A lot of people have forgotten; AJ had some valuable experience on the road as a true freshman. We got him on the field in hostile situations so he'd be ready for his moment. Obviously, at the time we thought it would be succeeding Cole Welliver, but things don't always work out to plan. The important thing is that he's ready and prepared, more so now than ever. Garrett and I have the utmost confidence that AJ will thrive with whatever the Cowboys throw at him."
BT: "The Sooners have already lost once this season. How much pressure does that put on the team not to drop a second game down the stretch?"
AL: "The important distinction, Boone, is that we're undefeated in conference play. If we lose one more this year, we'll still be well within sight of the SEC Championship Game. We win that, and we're in regardless. But, you know the drill, Boone. We play to win each week and prepare like another W is going on the board. I'm not going to get caught looking ahead at 'if we lose to this person, such and such can happen.' If we win, we don't have to worry about any of that."
BT: "Circling back to AJ, Coach. Should we expect the same dynamic Sooners offense with him under center, or are Tyler Ryder, Dillon Slye, and the returning Isaac Adcock going to be front and center?"
AL: "You'll just have to wait and see, Boone."

One thing that scares the heck out of me is the younger Riley. His brother had a penchant for throwing caution to the wind and opening a game with an exorbitant number of throws. Hell, Lincoln still does as we've seen in the playoffs.
The key here is going to be to get AJ's confidence up early and let him thrive. If he starts to struggle early, I don't think he'll have the moxie to come around.
Even so, we've got enough talent on the defensive end and in the running back room to overcome a few QB struggles against little brother OK State. Simply, they don't have enough firepower to win a gunfight with the big boys.
14 Oklahoma State, 31 Oklahoma.
