Kevin Porter Jr. Is Playing Out Of His Mind During The 2023 NBA Postseason

The 1-seed Indiana Pacers are looking great after steamrolling past Atlanta in 5 games. A series that many projected would see a Game 6 or 7 after Atlanta's impressive series win over Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Kevin Durant, & the rest of the Brooklyn Nets in the first round.

We've all thought it, we've all anticipated it, and we may possibly be witnessing the birth of an NBA superstar in Kevin Porter Jr. The 4-year pro is currently averaging an alarming 29.5 PPG including shooting 56% from behind the arc since the beginning of the postseason.

Pacers' fans even chanted MVP - MVP - MVP as Porter Jr. knocked down some late freethrows before exiting the Pacers' 12-point Game 5 win over Atlanta.

"On a good day, he's one of the best players in the NBA. And he's having streaks of good days." Celtics' head coach Brad Stevens had to say when asked about the gameplan to contain Porter Jr.

"We'll start Terry [Rozier III] on him & we're confident in his abilities as an elite defender to make some big defensive plays & help us pull out the win at the end."

The only active player left in the playoffs averaging more is Boston's own Jayson Tatum (29.9 PPG). May the best offense win.

I was kind of hoping we’d draw Charlotte. LaMelo Ball in the ECF

but they also have Julius Randle & Jonathan Isaac.

Nuggets beating the Suns is surprising too since Phoenix was the top team in the West for a min. Denver added Kemba though.

I still think we’ve got a finals shot in us. Boston can’t be that bad, can they?
