Cooked the leagues top player on his home court.
Playing against Ivan can make you forget it's a team basketball game. Anytime they're on the court together, it turns into a 1v1

Made some changes to the WNBA storyline. Don't wanna rub off DJP's Dream chise (cause I definitely pick the dream for the cool looking court :drose: )

WHO SAID YOU CAN'T HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO?

It was game night in Cleveland, and the game was mere minutes away, most of the Jazz team has gone off to the court to get some shots in, Kairos decided to hang back in the locker room, keeping to him-self. His solitude didn't last long as Coach Hayes approached him...

"Hey there, birthday boy."

"Oh, hey coach", Kairos responded nonchalantly.

"Is everything okay, didn't see you come out the locker room yet."

"Yeah, everything is fine. Just... Soaking in the final moments of my birthday before heading out."

"You and the boys don't plan on hanging out and celebrating afterwards? I know you're not old enough to drink, but I'm sure y'all can still do something."

"I honestly haven't thought anything of it, being this close to the post-season and all."

"Oh, come on", Coach Hayes waives off Kairos as she sat next to him. "What's one night of fun? You boys worked hard all season long, a couple hours out on the town won't hurt none. We're home all next week and got a couple winnable games ahead. Ask some of the guys after the game, I'm sure they're they'll be down to party."

"And what about you, Coach?"

"Aw, I wouldn't wanna intrude on the boys-night out", Coach insisted.

"I don't know", Kairos paused. "I think if you come along, they might be inclined even more, as incentive. You've been serious all season long, I don't think I or anyone else seen you wind down."

"Well, I don't think it's professional for players to see their coaches wind down in that manner."

"Oh, really? What about owners like Mark Cuban? Man is basically a fan in his own audience. I don't think anyone is more cooler under the collar than Greg Popovic when he coached. You're a close second though."

"What you trying to say? I'm a hot head or something?"

"Nope, just saying you're all biz and no fun. I think you joining the gang tonight would be fun, if we do anything. Hey, look at it this way, it'll be extra morale support."

"You're really trying to sell me on a would-be function, huh?"

"More like, "would" you "be" inclined to make that function for me?" Kairos smugged.

"Don't push it", Coach Hayes retorted. "So, what's the game plan tonight?"

"Why you asking me? You're the coach!"

"Cause you're the birthday boy! I'm trying to give you some leeway", she added. "Look, the season is almost up. We're locked in for the post-season, we can dial it back a bit. You've been playing extremely well, way, way, way more than I expected."

"You doubted me?"

"Kinda."

"Ouch", Kairos rebutted. "I see why none of the guys hang around you too long", he jested.

"Watch it! I just like to be blunt. But, I thought you'd come in, have a few good games, maybe have a good stretch, then fizzle out into the second unit. But you were taken out of a bad spot in Denver, and seized the opportunity here."

"And that, I can't thank you enough for. Man! Having Booker and Doncic, you'd think we wouldn't stink up Denver so badly."

"Hey, it happens. That was no team-gelling and things just got out of hand. Don't get me wrong, we were good, but you and De'Aaron made us greater without Tillman. He was a lot to give up for uncertainty, but the GM had faith in you two. I'm glad he made that deal."

"Here, here..."

"So... Game plan?"

"I mean, it really don't matter to me, Coach. Long as we win, I'm happy."

Okay..." Coach Hayes thought for a minute. "Okay, I got it. I'll cut a deal with you."

"Okay...?" Kairos sat curiously.

"You score 40 points and hold Evan Mobley under 20 points, I'll set up the birthday function and rally the guys."

"Sheesh, 40? A contain E-Mo?"

"Think you can do it?"

Kairos finished fastening his warm up pants and stood up, "only one way to find out. It's game time."

"Let's get after it then. We got a win with your name on it, kid."

Warm up ended and broadcasting formalities took place as the game prepared to get underway. As Kairos took to the court, he was greeted by Evan Mobley, his father's former college teammate.

"What it do young blood?"

"Evan, what's up man?"

"Man, I haven't seen you in the flesh since you was yay-high. Look at you man, all big and a split image of your Dad."

"Yeah, well, they been feeding me well. It's crazy, this is my first time meeting you on the court."

"Injuries", Evan implied. "But I'm excited for tonight, you've been tearing it up all year, Rook. I can't wait to see what you do tonight."

"I got nothing special in mind, but I am gonna contain you tonight."

"You even got that cocky attitude just like Recks", Evan shook his head as he smirked. "You really are your father's son... I hope you can back that smack up tonight."

"We shall see, O.G..."

The two paired up and got ready for tip-off. With Cleveland winning the jump ball, the game gets underway and the Cavs strikes first, putting up two points on the board first. Jett Howard was the man on the assists to Evan Mobley as Evan winked at Kairos after making the basket. From there, it was game on for Kairos...

Later that night...

"Happy birthday to you!! Happy birthday to you!! Happy birthday dear Kairos... Happy birthday to you!!"

As promised, Coach Hayes rallied the team together in celebration of their win, Kairos' monstrous performance and birthday, all wrapped in one, as they sung horrible, in and out of sync. Kairos hid his face in his palm with a grin, embarrassed of the singing and the spotlight.

"You guys happy, now?" Kairos asked. "Oh my god, that was so embarrassing", smiling with the group as they egged him on.

"This is what you wanted, right? You and the boys to hang out and celebrate, Mr. Megastar!!" Coach Hayes shouted in jest.

"Hey, a toast!" De'Aaron insisted "To the future of the NBA, to my road dog, Kairos! I waited 19 years for this incredible season, and I'm lucky to have experienced your father as an opponent, and you as a teammate, and a friend! Congrats on the birthday win! And may you, and the rest of us, bring a title to Utah!!"

The group gets turned up for the cheers. Everyone enjoying themselves with drinks, food and good music. Through the tenure, Kairos kept having his attention distraction by a person in the distance of the club restaurant. It was just one of those faces that alluded his line of view, yet kept him piqued to know who it was. Later on, Kairos excused him-self to make a run to the men's restroom. As he made his bee line, Kairos bumped into a woman, knocking her things out of her hand. Cliche...

"Oh, excuse me, my apologies", Kairos said. He knelled down with the woman, helping her with her things.

"No, it's fine, it's my fault, I wasn't looking."

"Don't be silly, it's my fau-", Kairos loses his train of thought as his eyes met with the woman's eyes. Instantly, Kairos found him-self dumbfounded by her beauty. This slim-chiseled face, with luscious lips and alluring eyes. She had a knockout body. Slim waist, that complimented her curvy hips, toned legs, shown from the fitting dressed to stand out. Covered in light-caramel, buttermilk skin complexion.

"It's your, fault? Is that what you were going to say?" She says with a slight smile.

"Uh, yeah, uh, totally my fault. I should've been more aware of where I was... going."

"You sure you weren't trying to bump into me intentionally?" She asked with a slight blush

"I don't know, but I think I'm glad I did. I'm Kairos."

"I'm Jade", she retorted with a bigger smile.

"You around here often? I mean, not this place, obviously."

"I'm... Around", she vaguely answered.

"Hopefully, I get to see you again then. Perhaps for some latte or something, if that's your thing."

Jade giggles, looking at him trying to keep cool. They both stood tall before Jade reached in her bag, pulling out a card, handing it to Kairos.

"A business card?" He curiously asked.

"I definitely don't just hand those out. But, I don't know, I think you can find good use out of it."

Kairos held onto the card firmly, reading the name, "Jade Remy". He looks back at Jade, "I definitely will."

"I hope so... I got to get going. It was nice meeting you."

"You too." And with that brief exchange, Kairos watched her walk out of his view before being surprised by a couple of his teammates.

"OooOoh, I see you, Kai!" Aaron Bradshaw heavily patting Kairos on the shoulder. "Who's the fly honey?"

"I just met her. Name's Jade."

"Well, did you at least get the digits?" Dalton asked.

"Something like that."

"Look at you! 60 points on Cleveland, now scoring with the ladies, player-player!" Dalton teased.

"Guys, chill. Y'all embarrassed me enough with y'all horrible singing."

"Oh, come on, we weren't that bad!..."

With the night coming to an end, it was back on the prowl for a title run. But before that, the Utah Jazz had nine more games to finish out. Though they're already looking forward to the post-season, Kairos was looking forward to something else...
