Gameplay House Rules (optional)
- No switching players on offense with exception being on offense during designed jump ball situations (ie goal-line fade)
- No switching players on defense during running plays. One switch allowed per play on passing plays
- No unusual moving of defensive players pre-snap unless disguising coverage
- No hot routes allowed on offense or defense. Offense allowed to change stem/depth of routes as well as change protection. Defense allowed to shift to adjust to offense formation or game situation.
- Audibling is limited to quick audibles (ie: run play, quick pass, man coverage) only under the following circumstances:
- Defense is overloaded to one side.
- Defense is playing press coverage on a WR screen/bubble play.
- Defense is showing blitz on a run headed towards the player(s) showing blitz.
- Defense is playing single high safety on a called run play.
- Offense is lining up in an empty set on a play where a blitz is called.
- Offense is lining up in the wildcat formation.
- Offense has overloaded one side of the football.
- Editor's note: You can adjust these as you see fit. My goal with the audible house rules is to limit your ability to always be able to get your offense/defense in the right play post-snap, which isn't the case in real football nor for the CPU AI. Sometimes, you're forced to run a play that you know is likely not going to work, which happens in football.
- On offense, only allowed to utilize the pre-snap coach snap (reveals play being run) once per play at home and cannot use it on the road. (Optional: you can add a caveat that QBs with higher AWR get to use it more than once and on the road if you want to in order to make the attribute have value at the position when recruiting/developing)
- Must mix up the snap cadence on offense in order to simulate real-game scenarios and be susceptible to false start penalties.
Dynasty Roster Management House Rules (optional)
- If draft-eligible players rated 85 or higher suffers an injury that sidelines them for more than half of the remaining games, player will sit out rest of season.
- Cannot go over roster limit of 85 players. If this occurs, random generator will be ran to determine who is cut from team.
- Schools with A- or higher academic prestige can only sign 1 JUCO player per class.
- Schools with B-, B or B+ academic prestige, can only sign 2 JUCO players players per class.
- Can only scout players in the offseason if they are in your Tier 5 pipeline.
- Can scout players in your tier 4 or higher pipeline during the regular season.
- Can only scout players in your tier 3 or lower pipeline during their recruiting visit week.
- Cannot target none-pipeline recruits unless in recruit's top five.
- Recruiting Board limit set to Seniors on roster + half of Juniors on roster (ie: 15 seniors + 10 juniors = 20 players in recruiting board).
- Once a player has been added to Recruiting Board, cannot be removed unless committed to another school, locked out or reached roster limit.
- Cannot add to your recruiting board players 4-star or higher with no other offers past Week 9.
- Cannot recruit 5-star QBs in back-to-back classes.
- Cannot sign more than one 4-star or higher QB in a given class.
- Cannot sign more than two 4-star or higher TE in a given class.
- Cannot sign more than two 4-star or higher RB in a given class.
- Cannot sign more than three 4-star or higher WRs in a given class.
- Cannot recruit ATH as QBs.
