Quiet end on your recruiting. You'd normally pull as much as you see walk away

Soapy, Irrelevant. Talking about your recruiting class being small. Got like what, 12(?) to 15-17 players leaving. Roster that stacked from last year?

I wanted to avoid having to cut players so I changed my board to have to match my number of seniors and any extra spots from transfers/early draft guys would be replaced by transfer portal guys. in the past, i've used the rule of Seniors + Half of Juniors to determine my class size but I was ending up with too many players at the end.

Noted :hmm: Cause I was having that issue myself in my dynasty, ending up redshirting a lot of really good freshmen & encouraging some sophomores and juniors just make room if enough didn't graduate or transfer

Miami quarterback Keke Hagg continues to impress with his development in the spring game
By Manny Ledo, Miami Herald Sports Writer • 8 min read

Miami's coaching staff has been gushing and raving about junior quarterback Keke Hagg at every opportunity throughout spring practices and Hurricanes fans got to see it up close and personal with Hagg looking more comfortable, decisive in the Hurricanes spring game, throwing for three touchdowns in an exciting spring game for the Hurricanes.

Hagg began his day with a 75-yard touchdown pass to Miguel Escobar (93 yards) and finished the day going 19 of 25 for 355 yards with another long touchdown to Davon Momah, who led the game with 108 yards receiving.

Hagg wasn't the only quarterback that showed promise as Bernie Flowers continues to show flashes of brilliance and a potential superstar when his time comes. He connected with David Tompkins for a 56-yard touchdown on a perfectly executed slot fade, finishing the day 14-for-21 for 228 yards and three touchdowns.

The biggest difference between the two quarterbacks was how in-rhythm Hagg was, throwing with anticipation and accuracy all over the field while Flowers would often drift out of the pocket, scrambling around while trying to make off-platform throws. On a few of Flowers' bigger completions, an argument could be made that in a live game, he would have been sacked or forced to throw the ball away.

"He's a special player," said Miami offensive coordinator Chris Weinke when asked about Flowers' off-platform throws, "You don't want to reign him in too much so you have to find that balance."

While it was an exciting day for the offense, the defense finished things off with a bang. Redshirt senior quarterback Judd Anderson, who played the final three series of the game, had one of his few pass attempts on the day tipped in the air by defensive end Marshall Kearns and intercepted by safety Alec Lawrence, who returned it for a touchdown. Redshirt freshman cornerback Adrian McCune also recorded an interception off Flowers and EDGE Booker Pickett finished the game with 3.5 tackles for loss and one sack.

Other notables
▪ Redshirt junior tight end Kevin Pujals might force Miami's coaching staff to find a role for him as he's been tremendous as a blocker in the running game, freeing up two big runs from Isaac Brown and he might have the best hands in the tight end room. He's not the athlete that five-stars Juan Woodside or Orlando Lord are but in terms of playing the game of football, there might not be a better football player in the room than Pujals.

▪ As we've seen throughout the spring, Deryc Plazz got the start at left tackle with Juan Minaya at left guard and Nico Francavilla at center, all redshirt seniors. On the right side, it continued to be a rotation of Richard Cookus (redshirt junior), Dominick Longo (redshirt sophomore) and George Robledo (redshirt junior) with Cookus playing both right guard and right tackle while Robledo and Longo rotated in at right tackle.

▪ Redshirt senior Artavius Jones might have made himself a lot of money returning for a fifth year as the Hurricanes are relatively thin at defensive tackle with just four scholarship players at the position. Jones has been a rotational piece for the past three seasons, finishing with twelve tackles for loss and at least 3.5 sacks each of the past two years. He's previously averaged 20-25 snaps per game for the Hurricanes but could see that number nearly double as him as the Canes tighten that defensive tackle rotation to just him, Kevin Yeboah and Dan Mintze.

▪ It was a quiet day for the trio of freshmen receivers with Tyler Rattay only playing two snaps while Etinosa Ha had two catches -- both on screens -- and Max North had only one target on a jump ball that fell incomplete. North's size stands out at six-foot-six, the only receiver on the team above six-foot-three. With Miami having smaller corners, many expected North to have a breakout performance in the spring game but he just didn't get a ton of targets outside of that red zone jump ball where O.J. Frederique was able to climb the ladder and use his physicality to force North to the sideline.

I agree, feels like Bernie is going to get the job at some point this season after Keke fucks it up
