Rookie' catcher, Tsianina Jimenez, became a crowd favorite for the Somerset Patriots with her impressive batting success.

After 49 games with the Somerset Patriots, the Yankees' 9th round draft pick, Tsi Jimenez, has been called up to the Yankee's Triple-A affiliate, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Not only is Tsi breaking barriers as the first female to be drafted to the MLB, she proved that she can hang with the best of them as she led Somerset with impressive batting numbers, including leading the team in home runs (9) & RBI's (39), as well as leading the entire Double-A's in batting average.

The RailRiders have hovered around .500 all season as the team is currently 27-29, which will be an adjustment for Jimenez after leading Somerset to an impressive 28-21 record. Tsianina will make her Triple-A' debut on June 1st as the RailRiders take on the Toledo Mud Hens.
