Recruiting three dudes from the same city Jameis Winston is from is going to terrify every female in Palo Alto.
ACC looking a lil weak though. 48-3?

Stanford head coach Bubba Mack says he never accepted Georgia Tech job ahead of matchup against Yellow Jackets

November 2, 2028, 09:38 AM ET

ATLANTA, Ga. — Former Kennesaw State head coach Bubba Mack was widely expected to be Georgia Tech's next head coach until he wasn't. Mack took the head coaching job at Stanford instead last offseason and has led the Stanford to a 6-2 record and were ranked No. 17 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings this past Tuesday. They travel to Atlanta this weekend to play the 2-6 Yellow Jackets with head coach Pete Lembo.
In his press availability this week, Mack denied the reports that he had accepted the Georgia Tech coaching job.
"Frankly speaking, we had discussions and conversations," Mack told reporters on Wednesday, "At one point, I was definitely interested in the situation but ultimately, I went with what I felt like was a better fit for myself and my family. I never accepted any job or told anyone at Georgia Tech that I was going to be taking the job. I have great respect for Georgia Tech as an institution, the city of Atlanta and I'm sure they'll do great things in the future but right now, I'm focused on being the head coach at Stanford which is my job and what I want to be doing right now."
When the ball is kicked off at noon, which is 9 AM local time in Palo Alto, there will be more at stake for the Cardinal than just a potential grudge matchup between Georgia Tech and Mack as the Cardinal still have an outside shot at making the playoffs and will likely need to run the table to do so. The Cardinal flew to Atlanta on Monday in preparation for the early kickoff time as they acclimate to the time zone difference.
