Vaughn just loves to give us money away...Winning allows you to get away with alot of things but at some point you got to wonder if Coach Vaughn's mouth is going to say something this checkbook can't pay.
Coach Vaughn ain't sweating the fines, he's got that gambling money stashed. :curtain:

Charlotte, NC. - In a rematch of their thrilling 35–32 showdown back in Week 7, the ACC Championship Game between Coastal Carolina and Clemson delivered every ounce of drama fans could have hoped for — and then some.

Clemson quarterback Justice Strait, who torched the Chanticleers for 484 yards in the first meeting, picked up right where he left off. By halftime, he’d piled up a staggering 355 yards and four touchdowns on 16-of-18 passing, guiding the Tigers to what looked like a commanding 35–21 lead.

The first half was nearly flawless for Clemson. Aside from a three-and-out on their opening series, the Tigers scored touchdowns on every possession, capitalizing on a pair of costly Coastal penalties — including two drive-killing holding calls that erased fourth-down conversions. Coastal’s Greg Marable then missed a 49-yard field goal just before halftime, and Strait immediately made them pay, hitting Gideon Adebawore on a deep strike to close the half with a two-score cushion.

But the second half was all Coastal.

Fredrick Meredith opened the third quarter with a methodical drive capped by a 22-yard touchdown to David Agudosi. The Chanticleers defense then forced its first stop since the opening series, stuffing tight end Lyle Little inches short of the sticks. Meredith responded again, this time scrambling for a 20-yard touchdown to tie the game at 35–35 — and from there, the momentum swung hard.

On Clemson’s next drive, star corner Mike Momah punched the ball free from Greg Babineaux on what would’ve been a third-down conversion, recovering the fumble himself. Coastal cashed in with a field goal to take the lead, then reserve safety Keke Allotely forced another fumble on the ensuing kickoff, which John Landman scooped and scored.

In the blink of an eye, Clemson’s 35–21 advantage had evaporated into a 44–35 Coastal lead.

The Tigers added a late touchdown to stay alive, but Coastal’s offense stayed in rhythm, matching with another touchdown and a field goal to seal a 54–42 victory — and their second straight ACC title.

After surrendering 355 yards in the first half, the Chanticleers defense stiffened, holding Strait to just 121 yards on 10-of-15 passing after the break, with one sack and another forced fumble.

“This is what champions do — they take your best shot, then hit back harder,” said head coach Kade Vaughn postgame. “Our defense took some haymakers early, but Tony [DC Tony White] and his guys made the right adjustments. And Fred? The kid was ice. A lot of quarterbacks panic in that spot — he just kept stacking drives, one at a time.”

Vaughn, visibly frustrated with several holding calls in the second quarter, kept his composure on the sideline. When asked about the officiating afterward, he simply stared down the reporter, adjusted his teal aviators, and asked for the next question.

The win marked Coastal Carolina’s 13th straight victory and second consecutive perfect season with a conference crown. But inside the locker room, satisfaction was far from the mood.

“We want the big one,” Meredith said bluntly. “Until we get that, we haven’t accomplished jack.”

Mike Momah went for the pick, but instead got mossed as Greg Babnieaux grabbed the past and rumbled 56 yards for the touchdown.

Image
After scoring 17 straight points out of the break, Coastal kept piling on with this fumble recovery on the kickoff that added another touchdown to the monster 2nd half.

Image
With 19 seconds left, Justice Strait fired his 4th TD pass of the 1st half on a busted coverage with Gideon Adebawore going 68 yards for the touchdown as Clemson rolled to a 35-21 1st half lead.

For some reason the controls were bugging out in the post-game screen, kept scrolling on every menu even after trying three different controllers, tried to click on the stats page again to screen grab the scoring summary and ended up clicking on the return to menu.

Way too much scoring to try and remember :pgdead:

The Road To Inglewood

Image

For the first time in recent memory, the College Football Playoff will feature a true 12-team bracket made up of the nation’s highest-ranked programs — no Group of Five surprises, no fringe contender sneaking in on sentiment alone. This year, the field feels as balanced and merit-based as it’s ever been.

The lone controversy? The inclusion of Texas A&M as one of the four first-round byes. The Aggies dropped their SEC Championship matchup to top-seeded Alabama, 38–23, leading many to believe that Big 12 champion Oklahoma State — also with one loss — was more deserving of the No. 4 slot. Still, beyond that debate, the bracket has been met with rare consensus.

Here’s how the 2032 playoff shakes out:

#12 Oregon (Pac-12 Champion) vs. #5 Michigan – The Ducks captured the Pac-12 title with a lone loss to Coastal Carolina on their record, but they’ll face a red-hot Michigan team that vaulted back into the playoff picture after knocking off previously unbeaten Ohio State. The winner heads to the Cotton Bowl to face Texas A&M, who essentially gets a home game in Arlington.

#9 Ohio State (Big Ten Runner Up) vs. #8 Clemson (ACC Runner Up) – Once 11–0 and cruising, Ohio State now enters the playoff on a two-game skid after late-season losses to Michigan and then Nebraska in the Big Ten Championship. They’ll meet a Clemson team that nearly toppled Coastal Carolina in the ACC Championship. The winner draws #1 Alabama in the Orange Bowl.

#11 Wisconsin vs. #6 Oklahoma State (Big 12 Champion) – The Cowboys return to the postseason spotlight after outlasting SMU in the Big 12 title game. Wisconsin’s physicality will test them early, but the reward is massive — a Fiesta Bowl date with #3 Nebraska, who avenged their only loss by beating Ohio State in the Big Ten title game.

#10 Florida vs. #7 Miami – The “Battle for the Sunshine State” gets the national stage in Round 1, as two in-state powers collide at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes’ home-field edge could prove pivotal, but Florida’s balanced offense gives them a fighting chance. The winner advances to the Peach Bowl — and a highly anticipated rematch with #2 Coastal Carolina.
