Honestly shocked you took an L from USF, was thinking you'd cruise through the rest of the season

Backup QB that just couldn't stop throwing to the other team. It was bound to happen. We let that one slip out of our hands for sure.

Players To Watch

Bill Connelly, ESPN: Miami wide receiver Keith Reynolds saw a slow start to the season before going down in their loss to Bowling Green. He's expected to be on full-go for this game against Kent State, in which the RedHawks will desperately need his offense. Outside linebacker Blake Myrick is the heart and soul of this Miami defense, racking up 64 tackles and 2 sacks so far this season. He'll need to be on-point to take on this fierce Golden Flashes offense. Offensive coordinator Khalil Prince has mentioned getting wide receiver [b[Wayne Harris[/b] more involved in the offense after two consecutive games with only two catches and under 40 yards in both contests. Expect quarterback Dru DeShields to look for him early and often.

Experts Evaluations

Tom Fornelli, Writer: "I don't know why the oddsmakers keep giving Kent State pick'ems. I understand on paper that this should be a pretty close game, but Kent State's offense is absolutely rolling with no stopping scheduled on the horizon. Jakorion Caffey is healthy according to Coach Mark Carney, and even if he was a little beat up, Mason King and Donovan Delaney Jr. should be more than enough to establish the run game. Kent State should handle the RedHawks handily."

Richard Johnson, Writer: "See, I might slightly disagree with my co-worker Tom up there. The RedHawks are fully loaded up the middle and we know how much the Golden Flashes like to run between the tackles. As much as we love the triplets in the backfield for Kent State, they aren't exactly De'Anthony Thomas when it comes to the speed department. Don't get me wrong - I still think Kent State wins this, but I think this is going to be a lot closer than last week against Bowling Green."

Chris Hummer, 247Sports Writer: "It's the MAC. What are we talking about? I'm not fading Kent State for the rest of the season. I don't see them losing unless a) someone like Dru [DeShields] or Jakorion [Caffey] get seriously injured or b) they play someone serious in their bowl game."
