Lawrence out for two months with dislocated ankle,

Toronto Huskies quarterback Trevor Lawrence dislocated his ankle and is expected to be out for two months according to NFL Network's Jeremy O'Connor.

The Huskies then acquired quarterback Cam Newton from the Jacksonville Jaguars. In an NBA-style series of trades, the Toronto Huskies traded wide receiver Allen Lazard to the Las Vegas Raiders for a fourth round pick and then traded cornerback Lavert Hill to the San Francisco 49ers for a third round pick. The Huskies then traded their fourth and fifth round pick along with defensive tackle Marcell Dareus to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Newton was Lawrence's backup in 2022 before he was traded to the Tennessee Titans. Due to his knowledge of the playbook, the expectation if for Newton to possible start this week against the New York Giants once he passes his physical.

The Huskies will also be without rookie running back Angel McBride, who dislocated his elbow in the win over New England. With two available roster spots following the trade of Lazard and Dareus, the Huskies signed running back Travis Homer and cornerback Josiah Scott
