Dave Patenaude Leaving Coastal After Four Seasons

Conway, SC. -The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers announced Monday that offensive coordinator Dave Patenaude is departing after four seasons back with the program to accept the same role at Notre Dame.

"I love Conway and this Chanticleers program, but I’m getting up there in age. Coaching at a place as prestigious as Notre Dame is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Patenaude said in a statement.

He’ll join newly hired Irish head coach Pat Narduzzi’s staff in South Bend after Marcus Freeman was dismissed following a 5–7 campaign, despite rallying from a 2–6 start.

In a separate statement, Coastal head coach Kade Vaughn thanked Patenaude for his contributions, most notably during the Chanticleers’ 2028 national championship season, and wished him success in South Bend.
