Malik Beasley ruled out for two weeks with a bruised back
nba.com/timberwolves/morningcoffee | February 12th, 2020
The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without the services of Malik Beasley, after the shooting guard suffered a bruised back in their 105-100 victory over the Boston Celtics.
While Beasley, 24, can play through the injury, the Timberwolves will likely rest him for fourteen days, likely meaning the guard will miss games against the Chicago Bulls (Feb 18), Brooklyn Nets (Feb 20), New Orleans Pelicans (Feb 26) and the Los Angeles Clippers (Feb 29).
Beasley currently leads the NBA in shooting percentage from beyond the arc (49%). Three point shooting is a critical part of the Timberwolves' game plan. Expect Minnesota's offense to take a hit without their starting shooting guard for several games this month. Ben McLemore is likely to start at shooting guard during his absence.
