USF Walks Off With a 31-14 Victory Over Louisville
USF relied on their top scoring defense last season to led them to an SEC championship after being one of college football's most explosive offenses in the past decade.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The Bulls defense held Louisville to just fourteen points in the team's 31-14 win over the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals offense had a lot more success than Arkansas who failed to get points on the board against the Bulls last week. The Cardinals defense, however, had a hard time finding answers for the Bulls well balanced offense.

USF rushed for 179 yards and quarterback Antonio Whitehead threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns with his lone interception coming on a tipped pass in the endzone. The interception kept the game respectable as USF outgained Louisville 521 to 398 yards of total offense.

Bulls Hang 42 Points in First Half on Wildcats, Call Off the Dogs in 49-3 Win
The only thing uglier than the weather in Lexington on Saturday was the beatdown that the Wildcat hopefuls watch their team suffer as South Florida pounded Kentucky to the tune of a 49-3 defeat that could have been much worse.

USF head coach Malcolm Francois Sr. pulled his offensive starters after the first half ad with good reason as the team was already up 42-3 at that point. Antonio Whitehead opened the game with a 52-yard touchdown run on the game's first drive.

On the second drive, backup quarterback Jamil Kendrick left the game with an apparent upper body injury after his third carry. Kendrick was replacing the injured senior Tim Hall. With Kentucky down to their third string quarterback in redshirt sophomore Todd Lamb, it wasn't a pretty sight. The rain didn't help and neither did Kentucky's receiver who struggled to get open against USF's secondary, forcing Lamb to run the football fourteen times and was sacked seven times.

The Wildcats managed to put up just 155 yards of total offense with the bulk of it coming on their lone scoring drive in the second half where Lamb used his legs to keep the drive alive.

Georgia Bulldogs Are No Match For USF Bulls
Manny Diaz's Georgia Bulldogs went blow for blow with the USF Bulls before eventually fizzling out like a day old soda.

That's more than anyone else that has come in the path of the undefeated Bulls can say.

South Florida pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Georgia 42-20 to improve their SEC record to 3-0 on Saturday.

Georgia jumped out to a 10-7 lead before an interception allowed the Bulls to score fourteen points in less than 90 seconds. Georgia wouldn't get on the board until midway through the third quarter thanks to their defense forcing two turnovers on the first two drives of the second half.

It was all USF once again after that with the Bulls top ranked scoring defense shutting out the Bulldogs in the fourth quarter while USF quarterback Antonio Whitehead threw his fourth and fifth touchdown of the day.

Since Aaron Spurlock's commitment almost two months ago, USF's class has been stuck on three commitments while top ranked USC now has nine players.

This could change in the coming weeks.

Five-star receiver Chris Williams headlines a list of nine recruits that will be on campus this weekend which includes fellow five-star linebacker Adam Hughes, five-star receiver Courtney Lane, four-star defensive end Jerome Powell, four-star inside linebacker Brent Pearson, four-star offensive tackle Luis Butler, four-star guard Zach Woods, four-star offensive tackle Lance Williams and punter Adam Cain.

The star of the weekend is top ranked outside linebacker Hughes who many within the industry believe that stronger competition could have seen him land inside the top five of his class as he's currently ranked eleventh in the country. Hughes size and speed combination has drawn comparison to another Hughes in Travis Hughes of the Bulls from a few seasons ago.

USF will host another highly ranked outside linebacker in Maryland's Kelvin Davis next week who headlines another impressive list of recruits on campus. Four-star cornerback Kareem Hunter out of Virginia will be in attendance as well as running back Roger Shaw II and four-star defensive end Shawn Bell.
