The Road To Recovery.

Taking my first loss in the UFC was tough to swallow. I came in hot on the scene & knocked out many big names in the middleweight division. I demanded respect.

Tiny Jimenez had became a household name. I had achieved a level of greatness that I was destined for. I like being a UFC champion.

The only thing now is to rest up my broken ribs & get back in the gym to start training. My fight against Costa was the last fight on my contract with the UFC, so I can take as much time as I want to heal before considering my return to the octagon.

I wonder what I'll do in the meantime?

Beginning A Career In Hollywood.



After resting at home for 2 months my ribs are fully healed & I've been medically cleared to return to light training activities.

During my time sidelined, I began to focus on what's next for me after the UFC? By no means is my career coming to a close, but it would be wise to begin thinking about this now. I thought about athletes who continued a career in the spotlight outside of the sport. Names like Dwyane Johnson. Dave Bautista. Both of these guys came from the WWE but I could do it too. Ronda Rousey transitioned from the UFC to Hollywood.

I asked my agent if there would be any studios in LA interested in casting me in a movie while I'm between contracts with the UFC.

"I made some calls & we found you two offers. The scripts seem considerably easy for you. I think you could juggle both of them at the same time."

"Let's do it then." I replied.

I hopped on a plane to LA & planned to spend the next chapter of my life acting in two movies & staying in shape.

4 Months Later.



"Great job today, Tiny!"

"Thanks, Julie. You too!" I responded.

"I've never worked with someone on set so well before. We should do another movie together sometime down the road."

I nodded. Julie hopped inside my car to help me find a place to park to attend the party celebrating our final day of filming the movie Independence Day III.

"It's just around the corner." She said as she pointed around the building.

"Wait." She stopped my hand from turning the vehicle off.

"There's something I've been wanting to do for a while."



We're definitely doing another movie together.

The film begins in the year 2199, nearly 200 years after it's predecessors. The S.S. Minnow Johnson is the largest spacecraft owned by the Americans. It holds 20,000 patrons which consist of soldiers, contract-workers, entertainers, etc. The mission is to travel to a distant planet & inspect if it's habitable for human life.



Starring former UFC middleweight champion Augusto "Tiny" Jimenez as Commander Fish.



"Sir. We're nearing the planet." Also starring Julie Fox as Xenulia.



"Stay close to me, Xenulia. I've got a baaaaad feeling about this place."



They weren't alone. A new alien species makes their presence quickly known.



Tiny's run in the movie ends quickly as he's the first to die. He takes a projectile directly to the head resulting in a crack on his helmet. The remaining survivors, now without their commander, begin to engage in space warfare for an impressive 133 min runtime. They eventually defeat the aliens but the movie ends with a cliffhanger. We see Commander Fish lying in a cryogenic pod in an alien laboratory. He opens his eyes & the credits roll.

Despite it's low budget, this movie did better among movie goers for various reasons. It takes place in New York City in the present day. A zombie infestation is running rampant & 4 survivors are trying to fight their way to safety.



This movie hosted a cast of Augusto "Tiny" Jimenez as Philip, LaVell Crawford as Dad, Vivica A. Fox as Jasmine, & Ellen Wong as Suzie.



Tiny was also quickly off-screen as his leadership & heroics landed him an on-camera death scene where zombies chewed into him as he let the others escape. New York Z-ity has a runtime of 94 minutes.
