The challenger, Tiny Jimenez, in his third bout against the champion, Jon Jones.
Jon Bones Jones ready to defend the title at UFC 397 after Bruce Buffer's emphatic introduction.
Jon tried to knock Tiny out with the same move he won with in their last meeting. Tiny was ready to defend these knee strikes.
Even at 45 years old, Jon Jones continues to be a dominant force in the light heavyweight division.
Keeping Tiny on the ground to limit his striking was very successful for Jones through the first 3 rounds.
But Tiny bounced back & began to keep his distance in the 4th & 5th rounds.
Powerful leg kick to the body from Jones in the 4th round.
Tiny letting Jon have it after stunning him with an uppercut to the chin.
Jon missed this flying knee strike to Tiny in the 4th round, but we can only imagine the knockout that would've came had it connected.
Jones vs. Jimenez 3 didn't disappoint, as Jones took a page out of Brock Lesnar's book & body slammed Tiny to the mat.
But with a quick recovery, Tiny delivered a side kick to the head of Jon Jones that knocked him to the mat.
Jon wasn't able to defend himself as the bombs from Jimenez reigned down swiftly.

Getting Hitched.
It's been a month since my win against Jon. I've been in the gym every day busting my ass to continue to improve as a UFC fighter. This was my fourth time winning the title & I have no intentions of dropping it again while I finish out my pro career. That being said, I've found a very comfortable balance in my life between being a professional & being a committed partner to Liberty. She's been living with me since September of 2031 & our connection & bond couldn't be anymore solid.
When I can I attend her races during the day to show my support. My girl is one hell of a wheel man. We could've used her 12 years ago for that robbery. Instead my ass had to get busted, sentenced to 3-years, & then bare-knuckle brawl my way out to an early prison release.. Can't even make that shit up. Today I'm going to do something really nice for her. I've built us a small itinerary & then I'm going to ask my best friend to marry me.
"Baby?" I said as I placed my hand on her shoulder. "You up yet?"
"Mm.. Not yet. Augusto, let me go back to sleep." She said as she turned the other direction, pulling the covers with her.
I laughed.
"Don't forget I've got a busy day planned for us today. Get you a couple more Z's in & then you're all mine for the day." I said as I got out of the bed & headed to the bathroom to begin getting ready for the day.

At The Garage.
"Okay 6...5...4...3...2...1! You can take off the blindfold now."
As Liberty removed the blindfold from her face, an immediate look of excitement rushed over her. In front of her sat an '84 Ferrari Testarossa with white paint.
"Oh my god! Are you for real?" Liberty said in disbelief.
"Believe it! She's all yours!" I said as I tossed her the keys.
Tears began to fill her eyes with happiness & sorrow. This exact make & model means a lot to her. Her father used to own this exact same vehicle when she was younger. Unfortunately cancer took him early in her life but they shared many memories in that car. With his passing, the family was forced to sell his Ferrari for financial reasons. She says that he's her biggest inspiration for chasing race car dreams.
"This means so much to me. I'm speechless. Thank you so much!" She said as she wiped her eyes & threw her arms around me.
"You ready to take it for a spin? There's more to your surprise today so you can drive us to the next place."
I pointed at an address on a piece of a paper.
"Let's go then, my love!" She said as she unlocked the whip & we hopped in. So far so good.
"We're getting on a plane, by the way."

Plane Ride To New Jersey.
"Where are we going?"
"To dinner." I said.

Dinner At MetLife Stadium.
".. but I haven't been back in this building since the night we won the state championship."
I had finished telling Liberty about when I played at the MetLife Stadium in high school & won the state championship for Science Park. I promised myself I'd work my ass off until I was good enough to return to this field, & after winning my fourth UFC championship in a 12-year career, I'd say I deserved it.
"Which brings me to this moment."
I stood up & motioned towards her at the table.
"Lib, since the day I've met you my life has been nothing but amazing. You've doctored up some pretty bad wounds & been there when I needed you the most."
"& I feel the same way about you." She said quietly.
I got down on one knee & pulled out a $130,000 engagement ring.
"Will you marry me?"
For the second time today, I was able to witness this girl be entirely taken aback.
"Are you serious?" She said hesitantly with a sarcastic tone.
"I'm serious."
"Yes!"
I leaned in & kissed her as we put the ring on her finger.
"Mrs. Liberty Seydoux-Jimenez." I said.
She laughed.
"I like it. But did you really have to drag me across the country to ask me this?"
I grinned. "Most definitely."
"Kiss me." She said.

Her & her friends were shocked at the news. My mother was part of a morning walking crew. I decided it would be a good idea to drop in on my Mom while I was in town, albeit completely announced. Luckily I caught her before she left because our flight back to Los Angeles departs at noon so I'm dropping in around 8am.
"You're going to marry her?" My auntie asked.
Good thing I left Liberty back at the hotel.
"Don't say it, Aunt Jade." I said.
No one said it. Moving on.
