The movie begins with the introduction of Tiny Jimenez's character to the franchise, Mauricio, as a garage owner living in New Orleans, LA. He meets the Fast gang at a local racing event. Mauricio's garage is robbed when they return, only to find out that Letty has also gone missing. Despite the garage being destroyed, Dom & Roman decide to team up with Mauricio to help rescue Letty.

On the verge to tracking down Letty, they quickly learn that the kidnapper is going under the name Ghost & has a personal problem with the Fast team. They go through a rigorous chase through America & Dubai in their attempt at saving Letty.

The movie ends with a cliffhanger with the now rescued Letty saying "I know who the Ghost is."
