Contemplating Retirement.
"It's been the best years of my life being in your corner, Tiny." My uncle said to me moments before the fight tonight.
"But if this is your decision, then I'm behind you 100%. You can't fight forever. You've given this sport everything & you deserve all of the good coming your way."
Just a few days ago I was debating my retirement from the UFC. It's been an amazing journey to get where I am but quite frankly, I'm satisfied. My last defeat came from Jon Jones 4 years ago & my life's changed a lot since then. Being a married man & focusing on acting is what I want to do at 35. The UFC's been great, & maybe I'll return to the octagon later, but after my fight against Ricardo Aldo I plan on leaving my gloves in the center of the ring.
So tonight I'm going out on top, one more time, for the whole world to see.
*cue walk-in music*

Fight starts early with Tiny landing some strong uppercuts to the chin of Aldo.

Tiny gave the fans what they wanted with the signature middle finger taunt.
Tiny returned to his corner with a busted lip but won the first round on the judges scorecard.
A powerful right kick from Tiny knocked Aldo to the mat to start the second round.
Some quick ground maneuvering from Jimenez forced the armbar victory over Aldo.

Accepting A New Offer.
Despite announcing my retirement from the UFC, another interesting fight offer came my way. A boxing league out of Tokyo, Japan named Rizin Fighting Federation had reached out about scheduling a boxing match against one of their up & coming talents.
"They want you to box against the company's top guy." My agent told me via text.
"The offer is huge. $8 million for one fight."
He sent me a Youtube link to a fighter named Satoshi Watanabe. The undefeated rising star in Japan. After watching his clips, I was unimpressed. While the offer came out of left field, I couldn't help but choose to entertain it.
"Accept the fight. We're going to Japan." I replied.
