The Pre-Allstar Game Party.

With the 2030 All-Star events taking place in Phoenix & that being Reynessa's hometown, I decided to bring her along for the experience as well.

After the Slam Dunk contest we were invited for a private social event at Jarrett Allen's home in Phoenix. Jarrett just signed a big 4/yr$147.64M deal to join the Suns this past offseason so you can imagine his baller crib.

When Reynessa & I arrived we also noticed Chasson Cash & Morgan Sauce joining the party with their wives. Sauce said Porter was already inside along with Lyric Houston & his wife, AEW star Toni Storm. Jere Augustus, Treysi Royal, & James Taylor finished out the mix of guests in Allen's home.

Once everyone was fully settled & had tossed back a few shots or beers, Jarrett said he had an announcement.

"OK guys. I'm going to give you an early reveal as to who's playing in tomorrow's All-Star game. I know the league's been very quiet about it & we're getting closer.."

"I mean it has to be a retired pro.. So what's so special about that? I don't get what the big deal is behind Adam Silver's 'big reveal' ".

"Maybe he's an old Phoenix Suns star & that's why Jarrett's become acquainted with him since he bagged that giant check." Cash added.

"But then who would it be? Chris Paul?" Sauce asked.

"Chris coached in New York for the past few seasons & wasn't exactly that loved in New York. Besides I know him & played with him.. I doubt he wouldn't clue me in on that.."

"OK thank you Chasson for acknowledging the bag, but no. & no to Chris as well. I've invited him & his wife to meet you guys here tonight since you've all never had the chance.."

Moments later there was a knock at the door.

"That's them. You guys, wait here!" Jarrett Allen said as he hopped up from his seat & darted for the front door.

"I'm getting a little nervous now.." DJ Porter said.

"Says the biggest motherfucka in the room?!" Jere Augustus added as everyone in the room laughed.

"What about you Tiny, you nervous?" Lyric asked.

Tiny grinned as Jere Augustus spoke up for him as well.

"Tiny ain't scared of anybody! He knocked out Jon Jones TWICE! You think he's afraid of any of us basketball players?.. Shit." Jere was saying until Jarrett Allen returned.

"Ladies & gentleman, I present to you...

We all grew still as we waited for whoever was about to come around the corner.

"..Lakers legend Mr. Recks Black & his wife, Sparks legend Mrs. Khryi Black."

Everyone in the room was stunned as we all said hello. No one expected to see Recks Black returning to the game of basketball.

Reynessa leaned into my ear & asked me who the two were before they made their way to introduce themselves to us.

"Recks Black retired after an 8 year pro career. 6x NBA champion. 4x Finals MVP. Him & Khyri put Los Angeles on the map.. She won 4 WNBA championships herself.."

"Oh. WOW! I can't believe I didn't even recognize them.. I remember when they decided to walk away from the public after he had a baby with another woman.. That was all over Twitter."

"Yeah that was a while ago.. I was still the UFC Light Heavyweight champion when this happened so I've never had a chance to play against him or meet him.. Guess they've been staying low the entire time."



"Hello Tiny & Reynessa. It's so nice to meet you. I'm Khyri Black & this is my husband, Recks." Khyri said as she approached Reynessa & I.

"The pleasure's all mine." I said as I extended my hand for a greeting.

"Likewise." Recks said as he returned the handshake. This was no ordinary handshake. I could feel that he wasn't exactly in the mood to be friendly, but he was sizing all of us up.

"So you're the NBA star that's returning tomorrow night at the All-Star game huh?"

Recks finished off his drink before simply responding, "that's right."

"We're very excited for tomorrow. He's been watching all of you play over the years.. Kairos, our oldest, loves you!"

"Oh that's great to know. I'm glad."

"But our other children Taurie, Zhuri & Zarya don't like you.." Recks returned with a chuckle.

"Oh stop." Khyri said as she jabbed Recks in his stomach.

"I've got 4 children back in Indianapolis. 3 girls. AJ, Autumn, & Tsianina. 1 boy. Yaya. They're the best."

"Maybe we can get all of the kids together sometime! Morgan was just telling us that he has a son.. Mojo." Khyri said to Recks as he shrugged his shoulders & tossed his hands in the air.

"Yeah sure.." He muttered.

"Here's my number.." Reynessa said as she exchanged numbers with Khyri.

"Looking forward to our first meeting on the court tomorrow in the All-Star game. That's going to be one of the most epic returns in sports history. Up there with Stone Cold Steve Austin returning to WWE back in the nineties.. Salute to you, mane."

Recks smiled as he let his social guard down & fist bumped Tiny before Jere Augustus yelled at them to join everyone at the party..
