Derek Carr wasn't playing around when he spanked that ass. Hopefully you can return the favour against Arkansas State.

Carr definitely played like an NFL QB playing a bad college defense. Was not fun
Assuming I'm still at Idaho, I hope they don't fire me
But yeah, they were huge gets. I was happy they committed so early too - gives me time to hopefully get a decent class
Yeah, given my current independent status it would've taken a hell of a season to get a bowl bid I think. The remaining games are for developing the team

Vandals invade Jonesboro and walk out with an easy win
--------------------------------------------------------
Idaho (2-4) / 0 / 13 / 9 / 14 / 36
Arkansas State (3-2) / 7 / 3 / 7 / 0 / 17
--------------------------------------------------------
Kristoffer Olugbode was the engine of the Vandal offense, scoring three times on the day
Jonesboro, AR -- For the third straight week, Idaho played a game in which the team that took an early lead couldn't hang on. Thankfully, this week it worked in their favor as Idaho used 20 unanswered points to run away with a win against the Arkansas Red Wolves.
Each and every week, the Vandals are showing promise under their first year coaching staff. This time, playing a run-heavy scheme designed to dominate time of possession worked out in Idaho's favor, with the Vandals nearly doubling the Red Wolves' time of possession. Idaho's offense in general was playing well, racking up over 500 yards of total offense, but the rushing attack really lead the way. QB Chad Chalich's day was emblematic of this, with the redshirt freshman struggling at times to throw the ball to his own team instead of the other on one hand and operating the option game with perfection on the other. The Vandals had 8 different players record a carry, including the little-used Chris Featherstone making the highlight run of the day. The 5'9" Featherstone, 7th on the team's depth chart at receiver, was subbed in to keep the starting receivers fresh and he ended up taking a jet sweep to the house in the fourth to put a dagger in the game. Kristoffer Olugbode continued to shine in Jerrel Brown's absence, with the backup running back having a run over 50 yards and multiple scores for the second straight week.
The run heavy offensive attack seemed to help the defense tremendously, with the team continuing to have fresh defenders going into the fourth. This time, the defense improved as the game went on and proved to be the difference in the game, only a week after Derek Carr tore the Vandals a new one. The Idaho defensive line caused havoc all game, getting to Red Wolves QB Adam Kennedy 3 times and holding Arkansas State to less than 4 yards a rush. The Vandal defense really stepped up regarding turnovers as well, with the team increasing their forced turnovers by 150% in just this one game!
Next week will see both teams on bye, with Idaho visiting Ole Miss and Arkansas State hosting Louisiana Lafayette the following week

Idaho signs 3 more recruits to begin bye week
Ellison and Muhammad help fill a team need at linebacker, as Idaho currently has 6 upperclassmen at the position. By addressing the hole while the majority are still juniors, Petrino and his coaching staff are giving the recruits plenty of time to grow. Ellison was a relatively highly regarded recruit from Olathe, Kansas who played well in camps across the country and garnered attention from several schools until playing poorly his senior year. This allowed Idaho to swoop in and sign a kid with a chip on his shoulder and a lot to prove. Ellison is undersized and has a low top-end speed but with a quick first step and a solid frame, he may look to factor as primarily a pass rusher. A solid overall prospect, Muhammad hails from Anacortes, Washington and was attracted to the Vandals by both the prospect of plentiful playing time as well as being a manageable distance away from home.
The unheralded Parker signed his letter of intent for Idaho after the Independent school was the only D-1 school to show significant interest in the tight end. The Vandals believe that Parker is a relatively unfound gem who will make an impact similar to current star TE Michael LaGrone, provided that Parker fills out his frame and improves his blocking ability as all the physical tools are there.
In less exciting news, recruiting target and Hayden, Idaho linebacker Ken Smith decided to sign with the Wyoming Cowboys over the in-state Vandals.
Idaho Recruiting Class:

It was good to steal a win in the Southeast knowing what the Ole Miss game will be like, yessir.
I got really lucky - there was a LOT of good talent in Washington and Idaho for me to recruit. Having the California pipeline is also huge
