No pressure on results, the positive of having a lower club. Finish mid table in the league but get to the group stage in Champions League. Seems like very achievable goals for you.

I hate the sign X players from X country goal. One of the biggest reasons I turn the club objectives off.

Yeah on the X players from X country it can be annoying. I don't mind the South America one though since I already scout a lot of South American players anyway (a few of the guys I'm considering replacing Moro with are Brazilian).

Valladolid Sign Gabriel Silva for €14M from Santa Clara

Silva poses for a photo with Fabregas after completing his signing.

With last season's top assister, Raul Moro, officially out the door to Atletico, Los Pucelanos needed to replace him with an equally skilled and pacy talent on the left-wing. Enter 23-year old Brazilian winger, Gabriel Silva. Silva is extremely fast and very skilled with the ball at his feet. He comes from Santa Clara in the Portuguese league and is excited about the opportunity to step up to the more challenging LaLiga as well as the Champions League this season. He will keep his #11 shirt from his Santa Clara days, succeeding Moro as the holder of the prestigious number for Valladolid.

Valladolid Sign Romero from Villarreal, Ship Out Several Players

Carlos Romero poses in the #3 kit on signing day.

Real Valladolid came into the summer without a recognized option at left-back, making it a priority position for the transfer window. They have immediately rectified that with the signing of Carlos Romero from Villarreal for a €12.9M fee. The 23-year-old Spaniard is a very versatile left-back capable of performing a number of different roles in the position, making him a perfect fit for Fabregas' system. At the same time, the club have also promoted 17-year-old Nicolás Mendoza to be his backup at the position for the season. The club also sold strikers Marcos Andre and Adrian Arnu for a combined fee of €4M, with talk of a new man coming in to support or possibly even bench Latasa.

Valladolid Sign Amir Richardson from Fiorentina for €13M

The giant, Amir Richardson, poses with Cesc Fabregas.

Real Valladolid wanted to strengthen in defensive midfield and have done that with the signing of Amir Richardson from Fiorentina. The 6'5 central midfielder has typically played in more advanced roles in Italy, but Fabregas sees his physical profile and ability to dictate play as an asset in the #6 position. The Moroccan international will consequently wear the #6 and is expected to start in defensive midfield come opening day.

Valladolid Sign Iván Fresneda from Sporting for €10.8M

Fresneda strikes a cool pose at his intro day.

Real Valladolid are strong at right-back with Luis Perez, but with the Brazilian pushing 30 and Champions League on the horizon, the club wanted to get even stronger there. To do so, they have completed a €10.8M transfer with Sporting CP to bring in Spaniard Iván Fresneda. Fresneda is ultra-quick, but also a very skilled dribbler and passer who will fit in superbly to a tiki-taka system. At just 20 years old, he figures to be a major part of the squad for the foreseeable future. Perez is amenable to the move and even offered to let Fresneda have his #2 shirt as he switches to 22 as the backup right back.

Valladolid Sign Gastón Alvarez from Al Qadsiah for €16M

Gastón originally joined Al Qadsiah from Getafe CF and returns to the Spanish league after a short stint in the Middle East.

One of the goals for this summer was to add more South American talent to the squad while also strengthening to compete in the Champions League. Valladolid have done both with the club record signing of Gastón Alvarez from Al Qadsiah of the Saudi Pro League. The 25-year-old Uruguayan center-back is physical and quick making him the perfect pairing for club captain Javi Sanchez at LCB. He will displace David Torres in the starting lineup and wear #5 for the coming season.

Valladolid Trigger Ander Herrera's Release Clause

Valladolid have brought in former Spanish International, Ander Herrera, to help add experience to the midfield

Real Valladolid have added some serious veteran leadership to midfield by triggering the €⁄5.7M release clause of Boca Juniors', Ander Herrera. The 35 year old Spaniard is capable of playing across midfield and has previous Champions League experience with Athletic Bilbao and Manchester United. He will displace Amallah from the #8 position and figures to be a key fixture in the starting XI for the season. The club will eventually need to bring in a younger option for RCM and both Herrera and Amallah are advanced in age, but for now they help form a very strong and experienced midfield alongside Lescano, Chuki, Meseguer and fellow new-signing Amir Richardson

Valladolid Shore Up Striker Position with Ian Subiabre Signing

River Plate's Subiabre, adds a new dynamic to the striker position for Valladolid

Juan Latasa is one of the tallest players in the Valladolid side standing 6'4, Subiabre is now one of the smallest at just 5'7. They will both play the same position. Cesc Fabregas prefers to play a highly technically skilled false 9 who can receive the ball and lay it off well for teammates, and Subiabre fits that profile perfectly. The 18 year old Argentinean joins from River Plate, and while he will be the backup for now, many think that he has the potential to displace Latasa from the starting XI and eventually play alongside fellow countryman and former teammate, Mastantuono, in the frontline. Valladolid paid just €2M to sign the player, and he reportedly will be their last move of the summer if there are no unexpected exits. The club is happy to have their transfer business done early this year.
