Cam Ward remains confident in offensive line despite veterans Dan Moore, Kevin Zeitler heading to the IR
The Tennessee Titans have placed left tackle Dan Moore and right guard Kevin Zeitler on the injured reserved list, effectively ending their season.
Moore and Zeitler are two of Tennessee's most experienced offensive linemen, promoting practice squad members Andrew Rupchich and John Ojukwu to the active roster. Moore tore his labrum last week against Seattle and Zeitler, 35, broke his collarbone. Both players were brought in to help stabilize the offensive line in anticipation of the drafting of Cam Ward this past offseason.
Olisaemeka Udoh replaced Moore in the Seattle game and will likely get the start this week at left tackle while rookie Jackson Slater could be in line for his first start at right guard. Another option would be to slide right tackle J.C. Latham, whose played left tackle at the collegiate level before, to Ward's blindside. Either way, Ward says he feels confident in his offensive line despite being sacked 39 times this season, the second most in the league.
"Some of those sacks are on me," Ward said of the new look offensive line, "I expect us to go out there and compete and fight and I've got all the trust in the world on those boys up front. They take good care of me and I have to do a better job of taking care of them and playing on time and making plays when they're available."
Ward leads the NFL in pass attempts and is fourth in passing yards. It'll be interesting to track, with the offensive line injuries, if the Titans continue to put so much of the offensive workload on the young quarterback.

‣ NFL 2025 Regular Season, Week 13 - Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee
(7-5) Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (3-9)
JAX | 3 | 7 | 0 | 7 | 17
TEN | 0 | 7 | 0 | 7 | 14

Cam Ward stopped short as Jaguars edge Titans 17-14
Playing without two of their most reliable offensive linemen, the Tennessee Titans’ offense sputtered again, and their late comeback bid fell a yard short in a 17-14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
Cam Ward had Tennessee driving in the final minutes, needing to convert on fourth-and-8 to keep hopes alive. The rookie tucked the ball and scrambled, but Jaguars defenders swarmed him just shy of the sticks, sealing the Titans’ fifth straight defeat and dropping them to 3-9.
The loss underscored how much the Titans missed veteran linemen Dan Moore and Kevin Zeitler, both placed on injured reserve earlier in the week. Ward faced pressure throughout the afternoon, sacked twice and hurried on several key third downs. Tennessee managed only 55 rushing yards from Tony Pollard, who scored their opening touchdown but found little room behind the reworked line.
The Titans defense turned in another gritty effort, with Oluwafemi Oladejo posting 10 tackles and four tackles for loss and Jeffery Simmons recording a sack for the fifth straight week. But the late stop on Ward sealed the result, leaving Tennessee to wonder what might have been with a healthier offensive front.

The amount of one-score games you've lost is devastating. A few tweaks and big gets in the off-season and this could be a rather quick turnaround

We're currently tied for the 4th worst record with three other teams. The Saints have one win, the Panthers, Jets and Bears have two wins. Like I said before, there's not a clear No. 1 pick so I'm not really worried about draft position especially with the extra picks we got at the deadline. There'll be a top-tier EDGE available to us wherever we pick. Going to rely more on free agency/trades to fill the other obvious gaps on the team (LB/IOL/S)

I'm starting to like this team more than I expected. I was originally planning on doing a full rebuild but outside of a few spots, I think it will be mostly the same team with a few tweaks. Going to rely on some of the younger guys to just get better
