I don't love the Cam Thomas pickup, seems like a shittier version of what Ace brings

Not sure about Peat either, no clear path to a definitive role besides Boozer's backup

The second unit might struggle with the lack of outside shooting as well

My thoughts on the Thomas signing was that we lacked consistent shooting last year and it turned Ace into our defacto outside threat, which I think pigeon holes him too much. Thomas lets Ace attack and dish more and opens up the floor. Black's outside shooting went up in the offseason, so hopefully him and Keyonte can hold down the 2nd line. But in game 1, bench scoring outside of Keyonte was an issue and it was when the Magic when on a run to put the game out of reach. Maybe adjust my rotations more where both Cam and Ace aren't off the floor at the same time to alleviate that, but we shall we

My thoughts on drafting Peat were the same as signing Thomas. I was hoping he'd be a shooter for the 2nd team and eventually grow into the lineup, Dash was the other guy I considered at that spot, but he didn't grade out great as a shooter and that's why i went with Peat. Jaquez will probably be on the block near the deadline and that would make room for Peat to slide up. but we'll see how it works out

Yeah the lack of perimeter defense is glaring to start the season. Worse, when I adjust to crowd the shooters they just kill me in the PNR. Walker looks lost

If we can stay near .500 all season I'll take it as a success. Coming off back to back less than 20 win seasons, anything more than the basement will be encouraging
