We're actually in the west this season, sitting 4th. MJ & the Bulls got the east on lock. At this junction, Chicago is the team to beat with a 33-6 record.

Philly still sitting strong as a top 3 team even with Dominique Wilkins going to the Spurs after they drafted Gary Payton.

Orlando, Miami, Charlotte, and Minnesota started right before I was born, but it's interesting to see that this was the NBA's plan in regards to conference alignments as they were introduced. A heavy Western Conference schedule and playing above .500 is a big deal

The boys in California and Texas ain't making life no easier for Orlando, but they pushing. Anytime you can play above .500 in the west, it's a good season.
