Tiny Jimenez's NBA All-Star Weekend Press Conference:

Image

*This is intended to be read as media members freely asking Tiny questions*

"Bonjour, comment ça va?"

"Good afternoon, Tiny. With everything you've experienced in your professional career, how's it feel to be here for your 7th NBA All-Star game selection? Can you talk about that feeling some. Also, welcome to Miami!"

"Miami! I love it here in Miami.. You know I didn't actually visit Miami until I joined the NBA & traveled here to play the Heat? Anyways I'm sorry, what was your question again?"

"I asked, how does it feel to be voted in for your 7th NBA All-Star game?"

"It's incredible.. It's an honor to compete.. I really feel like a walking testimony of like, if you set your mind to things, how things can come true for you. I feel like I'm a testament to the law of attraction. I feel like I'm living that life wholeheartedly. Everything that I've looked for out of life, it's come to be so far.. I'm working hard, I'm not getting lucky, I'm earning things.. I feel like a living testament to how you can just put your mind to anything and make it happen."

"Tiny, over here.. When the sports' world talks G.O.A.T.s, we always hear Michael Jordan or LeBron James.. Tom Brady or Joe Montana at quarterback in the NFL.. We've been seeing your name getting tossed around again as being the greatest sports athlete of all time, most recently by Stephen A. Smith, who made one incredible pitch for you on First Take the other day.. He said that you leaving the sport of MMA as the G.O.A.T. coupled with 2 NBA champions & 2 MVP awards in the sport of basketball with more potentially to come, has entered you into a category beyond comprehension. My question for you is what that rare air up there where you're all by yourself.. What does that feel like?"

"Haha, Stephen A.'s my guy.. It feels great.. I've been familiar with high praises for a while now.. one I just read the other day was that I am the 'Deadliest Man with a Basketball'.. which is flattering.. but my surroundings keep me humble. Once I get back to Phoenix, I'm just another guy on my team. When I'm at home with my girls, my kids.. I'm just another guy.. I'm just Dad. So I know that grounding myself is more important than ever & not getting too big for my britches & getting high on myself. Continue to rub elbows with everybody & do good things in the world.. I always try to remain humble."

"My next question is, we've seen you get creative during the slam dunk contest before, even bringing out 6x X-Games gold medalist Leticia Bufoni as part of the night. Is there anything you can share with us today on what to expect tomorrow night?"

"I can't say yet but I've been practicing some new stuff.. I don't think you all will be disappointed."

"Tiny, on your left. The Phoenix Suns are currently the NBA's leader in technical fouls for a team, & you are currently leading the individual category with 12 so far this season. Is your temper becoming a problem on the court?"

"Man.. what a question. I have 12? Wow. A problem on the court? No way.. Me? Of course not...."

*The media erupts in laughter with Tiny Jimenez after answering with a sarcastic tone*

"My coaches & teammates would tell me if it's a problem. We're hungry. We want to win & we're not going to get out of your face until we accomplish our mission. But I've definitely told Greg Brown to tone it down on more than one occasion this season.."

"Tiny. Congratulations on your 7th All-Star selection. This is your 11th season in the NBA, meaning you're no longer the new guy.. You've been dominating in this sport for a while now.. Have you ever thought about your basketball mortality & just how long do you see yourself playing in the NBA?"

"I take everything one day at a time.. one game at a time.. one situation at a time.. I compete to try to live forever in some sense, & it's an honor that years from now people will talk about me in barbershops as the greatest sports athlete of all time. I'm honored that I'd be considered. I'm humbled by it, & I just want more challenges. That's what it's all about for me.. As long as the challenges are there, I'm going to compete until I physically can't compete anymore."

"Guys, merci! I love the questions but I've got to get back in the gym to prepare for tomorrow night. Take care."

the Nash Cash class :o

Not sure if Sarunas Sabonis will declare for the draft, but I expect him to return. Alfredo Bell for sure will be back for his sophomore season at UNLV. He’s got to get his stats up the hard way :baze:

I’m not sure if I can create recruits after the NCAA tournament & before starting the new season, but if I am able to, then we’ll be rolling out more caps for the College Hoops experience.

Definitely thought #23 from the Knicks was about to sneak Tiny for trying to get at Chet.

We bringing home that Slam Dunk trophy or what?

It definitely looked like it the way he jumped off the bench & just kinda stood behind the action.. Reminded me of Westbrook
