Ira Holloway was just a freshman when Nevada was 0.3 seconds away from beating top seeded Alabama, scoring 23 points in his NCAA Tournament debut as part of a Nevada team that lose nineteen games in the regular season.

While Nevada has since made it to back-to-back Sweet Sixteen, Holloway has missed out on the last two postseasons due to injuries that sidelined him right at the end of the WAC Tournament. Holloway will be healthy this time around as the Wolfpack ran through the WAC once more, improving on their projected tenth seed ranking to land in as an eight seed in the South Regional.

It's a favorable bracket for the Wolfpack as top seeded Maryland features a talented but undersized front court that consists of six-foot-nine Kirk Youmans and six-foot-seven Altron Burnett going up against three seven footers in Holloway, Armando Michaud and Isaac Ridnour.

They'll need to get through Colorado first and seven-foot-two center Mark Styus who could be a potential top pick in this upcoming NBA Draft.
