The Last Pick Of The First Round; Learn The CJ Van Breda Kolff Story

Image

I wanted to give a little background info on CJVBK. For starters, when this game first came out it didn't feel right to begin chising with the season not starting until months later. I made a mycareer (for the first time in sheeeeit cause I always run a myleague) and gave him a wild name after looking in the search. CJ Van Breda Kolff. I had to hoop with him in high school, then Syracuse, & then was drafted to the league. I quickly grew tired of just mindlessly playing with one player all the time that I moved on from mycareer, but really grew to like the player I had started to develop. I plugged him into the draft & snagged him up at #30. Let it be a story of getting revenge on the teams that skipped him.

Anyways it goes like this:

Image

Osby & Van Breda Kolff go back to the high school days at Oak Hill. Osby was a clear cut next superstar & CJ wasn't far behind him in the HS rankings. They both would go on to be teammates for the last time on the McDonalds All American team.

CJ goes on to perform well on a not so good 'Cuse team. They got bounced in the NIT. This is where the rivalry begins, when he begins to face off against his former HS teammate Osby, both ACC point guards with Osby at Duke. That Chadwick Boseman image is wild placement, & that crown royal at the HS game. I rushed this for sure because it's made up :lol2: You can't wear #9 in HS @ dude on Huntington & #26 @ dude on UNC. But, this is the backstory to the CJ / Osby rivalry. My myplayer turned rookie turned side storyline. I feel a lot of creative freedom this time & feel like continuing to explore what this game is capable of.

 Season 1. CJ van BK.

In my mycareer he was drafted to the Knicks with Hendrix Cobb. Why do we have two point guards going #1 & #2

But the main story is still D-Loading & KPJ dominating :mahinmi: I think I’ll be shedding more light on draft prospects moving forward now that I’ve started. It’s definitely more fun & breaks up the same old routine of just boxscore posts.

When I get to the playoffs it’s play every game so that takes up the focus there

So CJVBK is a player that you uploaded to the draft class or you created him in the draft class?

I created him in the draft class. He was just a generic template with a few adjustments. I wasn't going to mention it and just continue like he was a regular rookie but he's actually someone I wanted to draft & want to develop.

Zion, man.

Image

Funny to see someone else wear #3 in this specific New Orleans jersey. I've been having the opposing team wear their retros much more this season than in previous seasons.

Image

Love only had 8 points against us. Aldridge rocking the same suit.

Image

Klay looks he's smiling because he's got an up close look at a highlight :obama:

Image

Pacers' vets approve of the rook. Van Breda Kolff put up 9 on the dubs.

Image

Elfrid Payton lol. I did not play this game. I wanted to look at these uniforms on the Jazz. Then I quit the game and just decided to sim it because this team is ass.
