Feels like the Trae Young trade (despite his eruption against the Rockets) did not pay off the way you wanted it to. Any pivots planned?
Oh it certainly has not paid off at all. This team is so inconsistent. The Atlanta and Indiana games on the road, I was lucky to get victories out of those two games being down by double digits in the third quarter in both. I should've went with a Lauri Markkanen trade. I think realistically he's the best guy right now in the league that would slide in and fit well with AD and LeBron, plus Markkanen is only 27 and entering his prime. He can play the stretch 5 and put AD back at the PF spot, he can rebound, good team defender, has a nice outside shot. I would be very curious as to how a team with those 3 on it would fare. As far as pivots go, if this team continues the trend of win/loss/win/loss ... I'm very likely to shut LeBron down for the remainder of the season and give those minutes to Bronny and see what a backcourt trio of Young, James and Christie look like. I'm very high on Max Christie and he's got the potential to be a great 3 and D player.

Lakers let another one slip away at the end
Inconsistency is best way to describe Lakers play game to game
Recap of Thunder/Lakers game played on March 2, 2025

The Los Angeles Lakers are going to wish they could go back at the end of some of these games and execute down the stretch. The Lakers could have a much better record than they do currently and/or a much better chance at getting into the postseason if they would just be consistent. They weren't and dropped a heartbreaker to Oklahoma City, 111-110. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with a game-high 37 points, hitting 16-of-28 shots from the field, along with five rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block. Kyle Kuzma finished with 15 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal. Off the bench, Isaiah Hartenstein put up 14 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Lakers route Knicks for largest margin of victory this season
Two wins a row, could be the start of something
Recap of Knicks/Lakers game played on March 6, 2025

The Los Angeles Lakers hosted the New York Knicks on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, but then they proceeded to just run the Knicks off the court in a very convincing way. This was the vision of what the Lakers would look like on a nightly basis when they traded for Trae Young, but that hasn't really been achieved until tonight. In the biggest margin of victory this year, the Lakers just ripped through the Knicks, 133-103. Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 33 points, knocking down 14-of-23 shots from the floor and also had five assists and two steals. Julius Randle finished with 29 points, hitting 11-of-22 shots and grabbed 12 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanovic, off the bench had 11 points and Josh Hart added 10 points, three rebounds and two assists. Anthony Davis was in beast mode during this game. Davis went 20-of-29 from the field, leading the Lakers with 44 points, 18 rebounds, two steals and four blocks. LeBron James hit 10-of-16 shots for 29 points, one rebound, three steals, one block and a season-high 14 assists. Trae Young finished with 26 points and a season-high 17 assists. Christian Wood scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Buddy Hield added 11 points, six rebounds and five assists. The Lakers as a team tonight had 44 assists on 55 field goals.
