A rare game of absolute dominance gives Lakers some hope

The Los Angeles Lakers are now down to the home stretch of the season with 14 games remaining. While this season has not gone the way many predicted, what the Lakers did on the court tonight against the Toronto Raptors is what many thought most of their games would look like. From the opening tip to the final buzzer the Lakers simply dominated every aspect of the game. Max Christie led the Lakers with a career-high 24 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal. Christie scored 18 of his 24 points in the first half. LeBron James scored 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field. Trae Young put in 21 points and dished out nine assists. Bronny James played 10 minutes and had a career-high 14 points including an incredible ally oop dunk from his father in the fourth quarter. Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 34 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Gary Trent Jr. put in 21 points and six assists. Former Laker D'Angelo Russell, playing against the Lakers for the first time since being traded in January finished with 13 points, four rebounds and six assists. The Lakers now sit with a 32-37 record tied with Minnesota for the final spot in the play-in tournament. The Lakers will return to the court tonight for the second of a back-to-back set against the Charlotte Hornets.
