Nice to see this still rolling. I love playing all star weekend.

He's managing to stay healthy so far, played 72/82 last season and 43/57 so far this year. His shooting numbers are the best since his 15-16 season with the Spurs (.506/.443/.874 vs .520/.406/.879 currently). It'll be what happens in the playoffs that matters most, they lost in the first round last season
Completely unexpected, and even with his numbers down from last season (23.2/7.5/2.1 with OKC LY vs 19.0/7.0/1.9). He's doing it on a team that's not only winning but winning without Giannis (he's only played 12/58 games because of injuries) while shooting a career high from 3 (.448, career .387). He even dropped 40 against Detroit and Chicago, 38 against Boston. Middleton is starting to stay healthy (35/58 GP) and taking over the lead scorer role from Gallinari but they had to give him the nod for his efforts.
I was looking forward to All Star Weekend, it's only a shame I can't override the players for the Dunk Contest and 3PT Shootout and pick who I think deserved to be there.
Now it's time to race to the playoffs

Atlanta in 4th & Trae Young leading the league in PPG & 2nd in assists?! MVP season?

It's crazy to see how different the league looks in a relatively short time

Seeing the Warriors 14th in the west, and it's February, is wild

Ice Trae is definitely in the MVP race, but it's hard to know who's in the lead right now. I'd say the Top 6 would be Trae, Dame, Harden, Russ, Jokic and AD. No one has really separated themselves from this pack yet, but I'm thinking of raising some of their minutes (none of them average more than 35 MPG) with seven weeks to go before the playoffs.
For real, I feel like it's help me learn more insight into how teams look at players and what translate from real life into the game. Just shows how hard it is to predict who will stay at their peaks, who will come back from injuries completely different, and who can't gel together
The role players haven't helped Steph & Klay like they did last year. Wiggins' shooting numbers are down, DeMarre Carroll came in and shot like garbage (.325 FG, .298 3P), and Poole is still learning consistency in his second season. Draymond's shooting doesn't translate to 2K so naturally he's shooting .292 FG & .247 from 3P. It's hard to figure out how to improve them with their financial binds to Steph, Klay, and Draymond.
He's shooting better than he did in real life (.439 FG vs .419 rookie year), but the numbers dropped every year after so we'll see if the game is less unforgiving
