April Update: Ingolstadt Win Fastest Ever Bundesliga; All-But-Secure CL Final Place

Engel celebrates winning a 10th consecutive Bundesliga title as captain of Ingolstadt.

Ingolstadt have won the Bundesliga after 5-0 win at home over FC Köln to secure a 10th straight title. During the month of April the club continued it's perfect season, winning every single match. In the Champions League, Ingolstadt defeated Valencia 3-2 and 1-3 across two legs to advance to the CL Semi-Final. They played the first leg of that Semi-Final at home to RB Leipzig and took a commanding lead with a 4-1 victory, all but securing their place in the final against the winner of Villarreal and Lyon --- two clubs on major underdog runs in the competition this year. In the league, Ingolstadt continued its red hot form, defeating Schalke 5-1 away, Union Berlin 2-1 away, Bayer Leverkusen 6-1 at home and Holstein Kiel 3-2 away to end the month. Marlon Engel is having the best season of his career at the age of 31, scoring a club record 77 goals and 45 assists so far across all competitions. Ingolstadt has a maximum of five matches remaining in May:
