Touré is making the league look like his training ground. Unbelievable run, one of those runs that might carry you to a trophy the way this is going. Only five points from the top with plenty of matches left.

Mitrović had 43 goals for Fulham, I believe that is the record. That might be out of reach but Toney is in second with 31, that milestone is possible.

Thanks, I needed that info on the goal record. Appreciate it. 43 goals will be difficult, yeah. Touré was a deadline day signing from August 31st, so he did miss the opening fixtures and also needed a few games after that to make his mark. Otherwise he could have been on the path to hit it. But yeah, 31 will definitely be a realistic target for him. He does only play 45-60 minutes of every game though, as I want him to be fit and available for the next game to keep the streak going.

It's maybe hard for people to understand now, but attention between 1985 and 1995 for English football was really low in continental Europe, so when the concept of the Premier League was beginning to catch on, this team Blackburn were top dogs (a certain Alan Shearer in their midst). So, I always assumed that it had to be like this (in most countries there's a traditional set of top teams fighting for the title each season, right?), but looking back over three decades later and I realize how special the Premier League title must've been for this team.

Good to see you taking them back up!...

Thanks mate. As a Man United fan, that particular league title isn't one that make me hold them in a particularly high esteem ;) Nor Shearer, apparently rejecting several offers from Sir Alex back in the day.

However, being a historic club, also among the first to introduce professional football and win the FA Cup, I'm glad they were available to me for a late escape, as soon as I was unable to continue with my initial plan.

Quite solid in the play-off realm, which for some reason you always seem to be in your first full season. Slight chance for direct promotion still: 11 games remaining, go for it!

Yes, there is certainly a pattern there. Finding my feet in the first full season, ALMOST achieving the promotion. Then doing it quite comfortably in the second. Funny how it almost always turns out like that...
