United to Face Borussia Dortmund in Champions League Final for the Chance to Make History

Dortmund's 10s Karim Adeyemi and Julian Brandt are dangerous both as goal scorers and as creators for CL scoring leader, Guirassy..

Manchester United head into the Champions League Final on the back of a composed end to the domestic campaign, closing the Premier League season with consecutive 2–0 victories — first at Old Trafford against Arsenal, then away at Luton. Those results sealed the league title with 98 points, and set the stage for a historic night, with United one win away from an unprecedented quadruple. Individual milestones were put aside, with Rasmus Højlund denied a late push for the scoring record as Amorim rotated heavily to keep his squad fresh for this moment.

Borussia Dortmund present a formidable challenge. Like United, they operate in a 3-4-2-1, with Karim Adeyemi and Julian Brandt dangerous in the two No.10 roles. At the back, Nico Schlotterbeck, Emre Can and Waldemar Anton form a disciplined, physical unit, while Serhou Guirassy arrives as the Champions League’s top scorer with 10 goals. Their 6–2 aggregate demolition of Real Madrid in the semi-finals underlines the scale of the task awaiting United on Europe’s biggest stage.

I can see why you might want to end this. The team is becoming so dominant and winning everything now. Champions League looked like a walkthrough this season.

2027-28 Board Expectations

Fresh off an unprecedented quadruple, Manchester United’s board have set out clear and ambitious expectations for the summer ahead. INEOS are determined to capitalise on the momentum by securing the signing of one of the very best players in world football, a statement acquisition designed to underline United’s return to the summit of the game. The club believe silverware alone is not enough — this next move must resonate globally, on and off the pitch. After conquering England and Europe, United want the market to know they are back where they believe they belong: setting the standard, attracting the elite, and leading world football once again.

Manchester United Smash Global Transfer Record with £210M Deal for Jude Bellignham

Jude Bellingham finally arrives in the Premier League, ready to make his mark for the biggest club in the league and possibly the world.

Manchester United have completed the most seismic signing in football history with the arrival of Jude Bellingham in a record-breaking £210 million deal. The England international also becomes the highest-paid player in the club’s history on £400,000 per week, as INEOS deliver on their promise to make a defining statement after last season’s unprecedented quadruple.

At just 22, Bellingham joins United as a global megastar and the centrepiece of the club’s renewed dominance. Internally, the move is viewed as both a footballing and symbolic victory. It also carries a sense of quiet revenge against Real Madrid, who triggered Bruno Fernandes’ release clause last summer. United have now struck back by prising away the most coveted midfielder in the world and making him the face of their project.

Marcus Rashford willingly handed over the number 10 shirt to Bellingham, returning to his old number 19 in a gesture that underlines the unity within the squad. Bellingham will start at left attacking midfield in Rúben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system, where his power, intelligence, and end product are expected to take United to another level.

This signing sends a clear message. Manchester United are not just back at the top. They intend to stay there.

Manchester United Sign Andre Garcia from Atletico Madrid

Garcia is a pacey and highly skilled English wingback.

Manchester United have moved quickly to reinforce their left side with the signing of 19 year old left wingback Andre Garcia from Atletico. The English youngster arrives as a high upside depth option behind Alvaro Carreras, with the impending departure of academy graduate Harry Amass this window.

Garcia is viewed internally as a very different profile to Amass. Where Amass relied on technical quality and positioning, Garcia offers explosive athleticism, recovery pace and the ability to repeatedly attack and defend the flank at intensity. Those physical traits are seen as essential in Amorim’s demanding wingback roles, particularly in a system that asks wide players to contribute aggressively at both ends of the pitch.

While Carreras remains the clear first choice, United believe Garcia’s raw tools and willingness to learn make him an ideal developmental signing. The club will look to integrate him gradually, giving him minutes in domestic cups and rotation matches, with the long term aim of moulding him into a reliable Premier League level wingback.

Manchester United Sell Academy Graduates Amass and Collyer to EFL Championship Sides

Amass and Collyer (left) join Ethan Wheatley (right) as prospects who were good but not quite good enough for United.

Manchester United have confirmed the departures of former academy graduates Harry Amass and Toby Collyer, with both players moving on in separate £3.4 million deals. Amass joins Norwich City, while Collyer completes a move to Bristol City, as the club continues to reshape its squad depth.

There is a sense of sadness around both exits, with Amass and Collyer having come through the academy system and fulfilled lifelong dreams of playing for the first team. However, despite their professionalism and commitment, neither was able to consistently reach the level required when called upon last season, often representing a clear drop off from the starters.

With United now operating at the very top of the game, the club have chosen to be ruthless in upgrading depth, while wishing both players the best in carving out strong careers elsewhere.
