Valladolid remain in 4th place despite a couple not-so-great results.

As the calendar turns to 2025, Cesc Fàbregas has Real Valladolid firmly in the mix for Europe. After 18 matches, the club sits 4th in La Liga with 33 points, behind only Madrid, Barcelona, and Atlético. The young coach’s bold 4-3-3 has transformed Valladolid into one of the league’s most watchable sides, producing 41 goals, though the 32 conceded highlight the risks of such expansive football.

At the heart of the attack, Juan Latasa has 11 goals in 16 matches, proving himself as a reliable spearhead. On the flanks, Raúl Moro leads the league with 8 assists, while Kenedy has delivered 6 in just 9 appearances, adding dynamism and end product. Valladolid Make First Signing of Fabregas Era with €10M Alan Lescano Deal


23 year old Argentinean midfielder, Lescano joins from Argentinos Junior.

With the Winter Transfer Window now open, Real Valladolid have not hesitated in making their first signing for Cesc Fabregas. The club has decided to bring in Alan Lescano, a 23 year old midfielder from Argentinos Junior. Lescano stands 6'0 and is left footed and a highly skilled dribbler and passer. He is very press resistant and a superb set-piece taker as well. Till now, Los Pucelanos have started the 20 year old Spaniard, Chuki, in the LCM role in the 4-3-3, but Lescano is set to immediately displace him and take the coveted #7 shirt as well. In other news, the exits of striker Mamadou Sylla, right-winger Iván Sánchez and left-winger Darwin Machís to Al Nassr, Marseille and Newcastle respectively were finalized, while the club also agreed to sell goalkeeper, André Ferreira to Le Havre AC for €1.3M.

Valladolid Promote Yago Vidal, Nathan Wells to First Team; Wells to be Sold


Yago Vidal isn't as highly rated of a prospect as Wells but as a native to Valladolid, is more eager to become a mainstay at the club.

With the departure of Iván Sánchez a spot has opened up in the right-wing depth chart for Real Valladolid. This is by design as the two strongest prospects in the club's academy have been itching for a promotion and have now both been granted that opportunity. 18-year-old Spaniard Yago Vidal and 17-year-old Englishman Nathan Wells have both been promoted to the first team, but Vidal will be the one to claim the #20 shirt as the official backup RW to Kenedy. Wells has made it clear to club officials that he is not incredibly happy in the Spain and wants to return to England if possible, so the club has transfer listed him. He will train with the first team until he officially departs but will not be selected by Cesc Fabregas.
