Al Ittihad Agree Pre-Contract with Henrique


Henrique has been a solid fixture in the Valladolid team this year but will be playing in Saudi in 2025-26.

30-year-old Brazilian left-back, has agreed a pre-contract with Saudi club, Al Ittihad. With his contract at Valladolid running down and the team showing no inclination to renew, he had to find a new club for the 2025-26 season. Henrique will see out the rest of the year as Valladolid's starting left-back with Raúl Chasco as his understudy, but it is expected that Valladolid will start to look at left-back options to bring in next summer with Henrique gone and a decision still yet to be made on Chasco's contract as well.

Adrián Arnu to Join Sparta Rotterdam on Loan


Arnu is one of Valladolid's brightest prospects but has seen zero pitch time this season.

Real Valladolid have agreed to loan out 17-year-old striker, Adrián Arnu, to Sparta Rotterdam for the remainder of the season. The Dutch side initially pushed for a loan with a buy obligation, but relented and agree to take the player on loan for the rest of the season with a 50-50 wage split. Arnu hasn't played at all for Valladolid, with the more experienced Marcos André and leading scorer Juan Latasa, both being preferred by manager Cesc Fabregas so far this season. The club hierarchy still sees Arnu as a player with huge potential though, and hope that this move will afford him the game-time needed to develop into someone who can one day be a key fixture in the first team.

Nathan Wells Leaves Valladolid for Eyupspor


A somewhat dejected Nathan Wells exits the Valladolid training center for the final time.

17-year-old academy graduate, Nathan Wells, wanted a move back to his home country of England, specifically the Premier League, but for some reason there was a lack of interest in the player. With Yago Vidal having already claimed the backup RW role, Wells still felt the need to move anyway despite not being able to go home. He and his agent had been in contact with Eyupspor of the Turkish Super Lig for the last several days and came to an agreement on a contract. The club and Valladolid were recently able to agree the fee as well to send him abroad for €5.1M. Wells is one of the better talents Valladolid's academy has produced, so it would not be surprising to see his name again down the road near the top of world football.

Valladolid Make Huge Splash on Deadline Day, Sign River Plate's Mastantuono for €12M


Mastanuono will wear the #10 shirt for Los Pucelanos and figures to make a huge impact.

17-year-old attacker Franco Mastantuono has joined Real Valladolid in a surprising move. The youngster from River Plate is heralded as being one of the best Argentinean attacking prospects and has drawn some comparisons to Lionel Messi. There was interest from clubs like Real Madrid even, but few of them offered him instant gametime. Cesc Fabregas was able to make a great appeal to the player, telling him that he will fulfill the Messi role in his 4-3-3 system and wear the #10 shirt. Mastantuono was excited about the opportunity to have that responsibility and play under a former Barcelona legend in Fabregas. Of note though, there is a €44M release clause in the player's contract that will enable a bigger club to snatch him up, should he not be able to fulfill his dreams at Valladolid in the long-term.
