Ingolstadt Break Club Transfer Record for American Midfielder, Jack McGlynn


McGlynn joins from Philadelphia Union for a club record €4,500,000 fee.

22 year old Jack McGlynn has been plying his trade in the MLS, but has always had his eye on Europe as the next step for his career. Seeing the rise of Ingolstadt, he views the club as an opportunity to showcase his skills abroad, and also believes that he can help lift them into the German top lfight. McGlynn has primarily been deployed in central areas because of his excellent work rate, passing and vision. Wittmann believes that she can turn him into a world class defensive midfielder who provides that creative threat from deep while being a stalwart defensively. McGlynn will be the second highest earner at the club behind star striker, Tresoldi at €11K per week.
