Wolves Trigger £44M Release Clause of Betis' William Carvalho

Wolves have made a major statement in the transfer market, triggering the release clause of Betis central defensive midfielder, William Caravalho for a club-record £44,600,000. Many expected the club to settle and re-sign Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht after a good but not great loan spell last year, but they have decided to go big.
