WWE Shakes The Landscape With Entirely New Rosters Ahead Of The New Season.

In an unprecedented move, WWE has announced a historic draft that will reshuffle the entire roster among its flagship brands. For the first time since 2008, WWE will reintroduce ECW as a mainstay brand, joining Raw, SmackDown, and NXT in the weekly programming lineup. This decision marks a pivotal moment in WWE history, as the company seeks to revitalize its programming, elevate emerging talent, and reestablish ECW as a key player in the landscape of professional wrestling.
The reintroduction of ECW, once known as the "land of extreme," is generating a significant buzz among fans. WWE has promised that the revived brand will stay true to its legacy while incorporating modern storytelling and production elements. With a roster set to feature a mix of hardcore veterans, rising stars, and fresh faces, ECW aims to carve out a unique identity in WWE's ecosystem.
“ECW is where innovation meets chaos,” said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque (Triple H). “We’re bringing back the brand to create something bold, edgy, and different for today’s audience. This draft will be crucial in determining its foundation.”
The WWE Draft is a clear signal of the company’s intent to usher in a new era of excitement and unpredictability. With the return of ECW and the equal spotlight on all four brands, WWE is set to give fans fresh matchups, unexpected alliances, and brand-exclusive rivalries.
“This is about more than dividing talent,” added Levesque. “It’s about creating opportunities, reigniting passion among our superstars, and delivering must-see television to our global audience.”
The Draft Process:
The WWE Draft will divide over 120 superstars, including main eventers, midcard talent, tag teams, and rising prospects, across the four shows. The draft format ensures equal opportunities for each brand, with the goal of creating balanced rosters that can compete and entertain at the highest level.
Each show will have its own authority figure overseeing their picks, with Raw and Smackdown’s picks airing live on Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown, while NXT's live picks will air on Tuesday night, & ECW's picks will be broadcasted online.
