Gonna be tough to stop the rough start when the team is losing key pieces to injury

WELCOME TO THE NBA: INTERLUDE
The final horn blows for the game, the Phoenix Suns mopped the floor with the Denver Nuggets tonight. It wasn't even close for a 90-109 game. Caleb Holt, Rakeem Passave, Caleb Wilson, those guys were on another level than the Nuggets. Not once, but twice. Both teams showed gratitude to each other with hugs and shakes before heading to their respective locker rooms. Kairos and Luka were among the first to make that walk back through the tunnel, getting rained on with "you suck" chants from the fans. With seven straight losses, it's hard not to question.
"So... Just one game." Kairos said, looking at Luka with doubt.
Luka decided to answer with silence.
"We're heading into game eight with no wins. You're the captain of this team, you got some plan we don't know about?"
"Look, relax, alright? Put this game behind you, and move onto the next. We'll get the W soon enough."
"Soon enough? So, we just going to sit on our hands and wait for it to come to us?" Kairos retorted, but he shortly realized he was crossing a line too soon as Luka shot daggers at him, giving him a warning.
"Hey man, let it go." Fox intruded to weigh Kairos off Luka's back. "We'll get the next one. Don't worry."
"That's what he said."
"Listen, it's a long season. Seven games is nothing over the course of 82 games. Alright? Just roll with the experience, find your game like you did tonight. You looked good out there."
"Thanks man, just ready to actually write home about something."
"I know man. I like that competitive spirit of yours. Just like your old man. Still the best finals I ever played in my career. He really brought the best out of us. I think you'll do the same eventually. Just focus on your game, the wins will come."
"I hear you man, thanks. How's your hand doing?"
"Still fresh, but the pain is manageable. Gone be out for a while. And yes, I know what you're going to say, yes, I feel the same. If I was out there, things would be different."
"Read me like a book", Kairos jested.
"You're an easy book to read kid. Too easy."
Kairos was left with his thoughts to digest in the corridor as the rest of the team passed by without a word. Head Coach Billups walked by, patting Kairos on the shoulder, applauding him a good game. But it hardly feels like a good game when a win doesn't come from it. But De'Aaron was right, it's a long season.
"... 7 Down, 75 to go..."
