January Week 1 | Alamogordo, NM

Match #1: Triple H vs. King Booker | One on One Normal Match
Randy Orton came out pre-match to watch HHH take on Booker to the annoyance of Hunter. Mid-match HHH gained the upper hand over Booker in a brawl and knocked him out of the ring. When he got outside, Orton distracted him from the announce table which appeared to give Booker enough time to attack HHH from behind. The Game was privy to it though and dodged while whipping Booker into Orton, knocking both of them out. He then went under the ring to grab his favourite sledgehammer, drilling both Booker and Orton with it before being DQ'd and walking backstage.
Winner: King Booker by disqualification.

Middle Card Promo: John Cena | Self Promotion
John Cena in typical respectful fashion, started off his promo by telling the WWE universe to shut up. He then went on a tirade about how great he was before he was eventually shut up himself by Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle told Cena that he was tired of him disrespecting the WWE Universe, the United States Championship and in turn, the United States itself week after week. As an olympic gold-medallist and true patriot, he felt it only made sense for him to put Cena in his place. Cena smirked and asked Angle what he had even proven to deserve a shot at his belt, after not picking up any major wins in months. Angle replied with a smirk of his own before hoisting up Cena into an Angle Slam that left him flat on his back in the middle of the ring. He flipped the mic onto an unconscious Cena's chest and walked out.

Match #2: Kevin Nash vs. Undertaker | One on One Normal Match
Kevin Nash came out hot and had Undertaker reeling from the outset. But his offense never came fully to fruition. Taker countered the Jackknife Powerbomb into a DDT just when it looked like Nash was about to pick up the win, and from there it was all him. He hit a Chokeslam and a Last Ride, but Nash kicked out at two to his surprise. But Taker kept pouring it on one half of the Tag Team Champions, and eventually caught him with the Tombstone Piledriver before pinning him to earn the victory. After the match, Kane came to the ring and threw Nash out under Taker's direction before the two celebrated the victory together in the ring. Will they go after Nash and Hall's tag titles now?
Winner: Undertaker by pinfall.

Main Event: Bryan Danielson vs. Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman | One on One Normal Match
After picking up a win in a tag match with Brock Lesnar, an eager Bryan Danielson looked to prove himself by challenging his tag partner to a match. Lesnar and Heyman scoffed and laughed at the idea, but when they realized Danielson was serious, Heyman went to Vince McMahon to schedule a match between his client and Danielson for the main event on Smackdown! that night. Danielson showed tremendous spunk, going so far as to attack Lesnar during his entrance, but that just resulted in him being powerbombed by the Beast and hurled back into the ring. When the bell rang, Lesnar began to dissect his opponent, eventually hitting him with a trio of german suplexes before going for the pin... but Bryan kicked out at one. Lesnar then lifted and almost motionless Danielson up into an F-5 and delivered it but again to the bewilderment of everyone in the arena, Danielson kicked out at one. Lesnar stomped around the ring in a confused rage before going back to Danielson, but this time he was caught in a painful armbar and almost forced to submit before grabbing the ropes. Danielson then took his turn on the offenisve, targeting and trying to weaken the right arm of Lesnar with much success. He was able to lock Lesnar into an armbar again later, but once again Lesnar scrambled to the ropes but he looked badly injured. Danielson looked to capitalize with one last cross armbreaker attempt, but this time Brock countered, reversing it into an excrutiatingly painful calf mutilator that Bryan had to tap out to. Lesnar looked down at his defeated opponent writhing in pain with a sense of what looked like acknowledgement, before walking up the ramp with Heyman as the show faded to black. Bryan was beaten, but he'd shown something tonight.
Winner: Brock Lesnar by submission.

January Week 1 | East Rutherford, NJ

Match #1: Godfather vs. Rhyno | One on One Normal Match
Rhyno defeated The Godfather with the Gore in somewhat of a throwaway match to open the show.
Winner: Rhyno by pinfall.

Match #2: Big Show vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Bryan Danielson vs. John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Rikishi vs. Big Boss Man vs. Shane McMahon | 8-Man Battle Royal Over the Top Rope
Shane McMahon came out and announced that he and seven other superstars would be competing in an 8-Man battle royal, in which the last man standing would be awarded a guaranteed spot in the Royal Rumble. Shelton Benjamin kicked off the action by scoring a big clothesline to eliminate Big Boss Man, but as he celebrated that, Bryan Danielson flipped him up and over the ropes as well to bring the contest down to just 6 men fairly quickly. The Big Show and John Cena continued their long-standing rivalry in the corner, but Show was too powerful for the United States Champion and was able to eliminate him as well, leaving five competitors. Bryan Danielson then got grabbed from behind by Shane McMahon, who attempted to hurl him over the top rope, but Danielson was too quick and used Shane's momentum to send the Billionaire Prince flying right over the top rope. As soon as Danielson was done with that though he turned around as was delivered a huge spear from the Big Show. Show tried to hoist Danielson up into a chokeslam but he dodged that, but Show still whipped him to the ropes. As Bryan hung on the ropes, Show went for the clothesline but Bryan dodged it and Big Show's momentum carried him over and out, giving him his third elimination of the match. Rikishi proceeded to toss out Rey Mysterio surprisingly, as the contest came down to Bryan and... Rikishi. Rikishi was almost able to knock out Danielson, but it was the smaller competitor's quickness which gave him the advantage as he picked up the win and secured himself a guaranteed spot in the Royal Rumble. After the match, Danielson cut a promo saying that he was changing his name to Daniel Bryan.
Winner: Bryan Danielson.

Main Event: Mr. Perfect vs. DDP (c) | One on One Extreme Rules | Hardcore Championship
DDP defeated Mr. Perfect with a Diamond Cutter on a steel chair to retain his title. There was very little reaction from the crowd and after the match, DDP threw the title in the garbage and announced that it was yet again, defunct.
Winner: DDP by pinfall

January Week 2 | Reno, NV

Match #1: The Rock vs. Sting | One on One Normal Match
Vince McMahon announced as RAW is WAR took air that Smackdown! and Velocity were both cancelled effective immediately. Both shows had been suffering in the ratings, with the roster's talent being spread too thin and too many storylines to manage. Following that, and in the interest of those same ratings, McMahon announced that RAW is WAR would be kicking off with a first-ever match between the WWE Undisputed Champion, The Rock, and the Icon, Sting. When the match started, these two competitors spent a long time staring each other down while listening to the raucous cheers from the crowd, before it finally got under way. The Rock started to take the upper hand but about halfway through the contest it was interrupted by the sound of breaking glass and... Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Rock turned to the ramp, looking for Austin but he was nowhere in sight. This gave Sting enough time to level the champion with a Scorpion Death Drop from behind and pin him, and only then did Austin appear on the ramp, clapping and laughing his ass off at the loss he'd just cost the People's Champion.
Winner: Sting by pinfall.

Match #2: Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James | One on One Normal Match
Trish looked like she was about to cruise to an easy victory against James, but the tables turned when Mickie turned her Stratusfaction attempt into a powerslam of her own. A follow up Mick Kick and neckbreaker nearly put Trish away but the Women's Champion was just able to kick out at 2. Mickie quickly looked to finish off Trish with a DDT, but Trish countered it into her signature Chick Kick and put her down for the count to pick up a hard-fought win. After the match, Trish was ready to head backstage with her title when she saw Ivory waiting for her on the ramp, pointing at the belt as if she were coming for it next.
Winner: Trish Stratus by pinfall.

Middle Card Promo: Triple H | Call Out
Triple H came out and demanded respect from the WWE fans and more importantly that ungrateful, disrespectful punk, Randy Orton. HHH had beaten Orton badly on two consecutive shows and demanded that Orton come out and apologize for turning on him if he wanted the beatings to stop. Orton eventually came out and explained that the reason he turned his back on Evolution is because he is more gifted than any of the other members, and believed they had grown jealous of them, and that's why they chose not to help him in his Intercontinental Championship defense against Shawn Michaels at Night of Champions. Triple H eventually grew tired of listening to his former protege and decked him with a right hand and the brawl was on. But it was the younger Orton who would gain the upper hand this time, catching HHH with a DDT. He then went out of the ring to grab Triple H's favourite sledgehammer and returned to start assaulting The Game with it. Before he could do any further damage though, Batista and Ric Flair came out to defend HHH and The Viper was forced to retreat. Advantage Orton on this night though.

Main Event: nWo vs. Hart Foundation | Two on Two Tag Team
It'd been quite some time since we'd seen the Hart Foundation wrestle on TV... and unfortunately we weren't going to see that again tonight either. Hall and Nash were clearly very upset about the beating that Nash had taken from the Undertaker the previous week, and because of that, decided to find Jim Neidhart when he was on his own backstage and beat the holy hell out of him, rendering him unable to compete. I don't think this is the last the nWo will hear from the Hart Foundation though, and they still have a very hungry Brothers of Destruction faction to deal with as well in defense of their tag titles.
Winner: No Contest
