CANNON LEADS FALCONS OVER COMMANDERS IN DEBUT

"It's been a long time coming." Cade Cannon said when asked about his successful Atlanta Falcons debut.

"It was a long process coming back from the ACL and the medical staff and the coaching staff and my teammates had my back the whole way so it's great to finally get out there and produce for them."

Cannon completed a pass to younger brother Cody on the first play of the game.

"Great way to clear the cobwebs." Cannon said with a smile.

A few plays later Cannon scored on a four yard scramble to put the Falcons up early.

Later in the first quarter the Flacons extended the lead when Cannon connected with Odell Beckham Jr. for a 23 yard score.

Koo would make it 17-0 Falcons before halftime.

After a quiet third quarter the Cannon brothers connected for their first NFL touchdown together when Cade found Cody for a short TD pass that made it 24-0 Atlanta.

Washington finally got on the board midway through the fourth quarter, making it 24-8.

Atlanta answered with another Cannon to Beckham Jr TD pass.

"That one was a hot call at the line." Cannon explained. "I saw a little window there and I figured I'd give him a chance to make a play on it and he did. Great play by Odell."

Atlanta pickes up a 34-8 win and stops a three game losing streak while keeping their playoff and division hopes alive. They will host Tampa Bay next Sunday.

CANNON OVERCOMES FIRST HALF PICKS, THROWS GAME WINNER TO OBJ

"He just said basically forget the bad plays and be ready." Cade Canon replied when asked about OBJ's comments on the sideline following Cannon's second interception in the half.

The second pick came late in the second quarter and led to a Tannehill to Okonkwo touchdown pass that put Tennessee on top 21-14.

Cannon got an immediate chance to erase the interception, connecting with Patterson for a gain of 67 yards before finding him again a couple plays later to tie the game at the break.

Tennessee's Haskins scored from a yard out to regain the lead on the Titans first possession after halftime. Cannon found younger brother Cody on an eight yard TD pass to tie it up again.

Early in the fourth quarter Tennessee went up 35-28 when Tannehill tossed his fourth touchdown pass of the game, this one to Shaheed.

Cannon to Cannon for the second time tied the game once again and the Atlanta defense held and gave Cannon and the offense the ball back with just over a minute left to play.

"Showtime!" OBJ could be seen shouting to Cannon and then the rest of the offense as they took the field.

After an incompletion Cannon connected with Pitts for a gain of 23 yards out to their 40 yard line. Cannon kept on the next play and picked up 12 yards before stepping out at the Tennessee 48. Cannon connected with Patterson for a gain of 17 to the Tennessee 31. Atlanta went to Zeke for three straight plays, forcing Tennessee to use up their timeouts with 27 seconds to play. Tennessee, expecting another run, lost OBJ in the corner of the endzone and Cannon connected with him for his sixth TD pass of the game, giving Atlanta the win and improving their record to 9-7.
