Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans offense came alive in the second and third quarter, scoring 38 unanswered points to dig themselves out of a twenty-one point early deficit to beat the Las Vegas Raiders 45-35 on Sunday.
The Raiders took a 21-0 lead following Ward's interception early in the second quarter which led to a touchdown by James Peoples and after a Titans three and out, Josh Hoover found rookie Dakorien Moore for a 69-yard gain before Jack Bech found the endzone.
It was all Titans after that beginning with a 42-yard touchdown to Ja'Kobi Lane on a go route and after a 43-yard punt return by Deion Burks with a minute left, the Titans were able to get into the endzone with Mark Fletcher's touchdown to make it a one possession game heading into the second half.
Tennessee's domination continued in the third quarter with a field goal and then a touchdown to Chigoziem Okonkwo to take the lead with six minutes left in the quarter. The Raiders offense would continue to sputter, getting shutout in the third quarter where Ward would find Xavier Restrepo for the 36-yard touchdown and then Hoover would be intercepted by Jermaine Matthews who had gotten beat earlier in the game by Moore for the big gain. Lane would score his second touchdown of the game on the ensuing drive to give Titans the 38-24 lead entering the fourth quarter.
The Raiders would put up a fight with Bech's touchdown early in the quarter following a 46-yard completion to Brock Bowers only for Fletcher to respond with a big play of his own, taking it 61 yards for the score. Hoover would lead a fourteen play drive to make it a ten point game with four minutes left but once the Raiders failed to recover the onside kick, the Titans were able to run out the clock.

Restrepo getting more catches than Jefferson makes me nauseous, but that's still a solid win.
Concerned about the amount of points you're giving up?

What a comeback. Defense needs to step it up but Ward, Fletcher, and Lane came through.
